ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY Kalasalingam University (Formerly Arulmigu kalasalingam College of Engineering) is run by Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities established in the year 1984 to impart quality education to the rural youth and to promote the welfare of the rural people of this educationally, economically and socially backward district. The founding philosophy of this university is to Empower Youth, for development through technology. ABOUT DEPARTMENT The Department of Mechanical Engineering offer B.Tech. program in Mechancial Engineering, Automobile Engineering and Six year integrated B.Tech. program for Hearing Impaired. It also offers M.Tech. programme in the following disciplines viz., CAD/CAM, Energy Engineering, Industrial Safety Engineering and Ph.D. program. This Department has nearly 60 Nos. of highly qualified, dedicated, experienced and talented faculty members. They have vast

experience in industry as well as teaching. The department has well equipped laboratories and equipments. The department has healthy interactions with leading industries to develop entrepreneurial skills, to impart training in latest technologies to student, and Research and Development.
