KIEWIT KEEPING ITS FOCUS ON GREENMammel Hall College of Business Administration - A 120,000 square foot structure, this project was the fi rst LEED Gold certifi ed building in the University of Nebraska system. The project received the 2011 Build Nebraska Award from the Associated General Contractors of Nebraska.

Asbury Green Student Housing - A four-level, wood-framed structure, this project the fi rst LEED Gold certifi ed multi-family housing development in Denver. The community's sustainable features include: dual-fl ush toilets, 8,300 cubic yards of recycled concrete, 2,000 square feet of bamboo fl ooring, 150 tons of reinforced steel containing about 50 percent recycled material, recycled carpet and energy effi cient mechanical systems.

Kiewit is a sustainable construction leader with over 5 million square feet of LEED construction completed or currently in progress. Our team of over 250 LEED accredited professionals helps us assist customers with determining the right mixture of sustainable features to meet their budget and building program needs.

DELIVERY METHODSKiewit delivers projects under multiple contract types, including design-build, construction manager at risk and lump sum. Over the past 20 years, 64 percent of Kiewit’s vertical construction work has been delivered under a construction manager at risk contract.

Kiewit was the fi rst contractor in the nation to establish an enterprise level agreement with Autodesk.

BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING

TD Ameritrade Headquarters - Kiewit is using BIM to assist in planning and executing the construction of this 512,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters project. The project is scheduled to complete in 2013 and is targeting LEED Platinum certifi cation.

Kiewit has been using Autodesk’s Revit software for over six years and has developed a structured training program with Autodesk’s assistance. This program trains and develops our project teams to fully utilize BIM software to enhance project delivery. Our team provides a full range of BIM services, including virtual construction planning,developing model-based quantity take-offs, model-based estimating, model-based schedule development, MEP coordination, constructability analysis, laser scanning, site logistics planning and more.

PRECONSTRUCTION

Decisions made at the beginning of a project are crucial to project success.

Kiewit’s preconstruction services provide our customers the detailed, accurate

and complete information they need to make informed project decisions. We

use a collaborative approach, advanced technology and proven processes to

reduce project costs and ensure our customer’s project goals are met. Our goal

is to rigorously plan our work so there are “no surprises” during construction.

services. Kiewit is committed to ensuring owners have a smooth transition
