The DORMA ITS 96 hasushered in a new era in doorcloser technology. The closerbody and slide channel are so compact that theycan be installed out of sightin doors and their frames. These devices offer thesame high quality expectedof DORMA door closers, ascharacterised by their easeof operation for the user,and wide range of functions.Thanks to the exceptionally

slender dimensions of theunit, the DORMA ITS 96can be installed in virtuallyall doors with thicknesses of40 mm or more, and offersall the advantages of qualityassured manufacture withthird-party auditing.

The G 96 N20 and G 96 Nslide channel is tested toEN 1154 A in conjunctionwith the DORMA ITS 96.Additionally, it has CERTIFIREapproval for use on timberFD30 and FD60 doors (codeITT), when installed with

the approved intumescentgasket set for FD30 or FD60 supplied by DORMA UK.The length, width and highof mortice for the slidechannel must be increasedby 2 mm to accommodatethe gasket.

The DORMA G 96 N20 resp.G 96 N slide channel packincludes the arm, slidechannel, slide block, cushioned limit stay andfixing screws, and can becombined with both doorcloser sizes in the DORMAITS 96 range. The slidechannel is non-handed.

The DORMA RF hold-openunit enables doors to besecurely held without anyfall-back at precisely therequired position up to anopening angle of approx.120°. The hold-open function can be easily switched on and off by theuser (only RF G 96 N), andthe release force can beadjusted to the door typeconcerned.

The DORMA RF mechanismis non-handed and has beenspecifically designed forretrofitting to the G 96 Nslide channel.

Adjustment of settingsThe functions of the DORMAITS 96 can be individuallyadapted to the local condi-tions of each application. The closing strength can be easily varied in accordancewith the door width via theadjustment screw accessiblefrom the top. The closingspeed and the latch actioncan likewise be modified atany time using adjustmentscrews at the top, even afterthe door has been hung.

Cushioned limit stayThe integrated mechanicallycushioned limit stay of theDORMA ITS 96 is progressi-vely damped to protect thewall and doors from thedamage arising from thedoor being opened too wide(under conditions of normalusage). It can be adjusted toan opening angle betweenapprox. 80° and max. 120°.The cushioned limit stayfeature is not an overloadprotection device and inmany cases cannot replace a doorstop.

The DORMA ITS 96 isapproved by the StateMaterial Testing Authority,Dortmund, in accordancewith EN 1154 A.Additionally, the model sizeEN 2 – 4 and EN 3 – 6 hasCERTIFIRE approval for useon timber FD30 and FD60doors (code ITT), wheninstalled with the approvedintumescent gasket set forFD30 or FD60 supplied byDORMA UK.The length, width and hightof mortice for the body andslide channel must beincreased by 2 mm toaccommodate the gasket.
