Student Objectives
To know their subject and critically think competently.
Work in collaboration with their group assigned and com-municate effectively.
Problem solve well and capa-bly.
Know their strengths and weaknesses to work resource-fully.
Student Expectations
All assignments will be done on the due
date of each week. Incomplete assign-
ments will be given a zero. Assign-
ments must be 100% complete before
a grade is given. Extra credit can be
given at the end of the month. Journals
must be complete daily.
Social and Emotional
Our classes are big on community projects.
We want to show our community how diverse
we really are. We want to bring out your
child's and our students’ family history, lan-
guage, food and interests. Please join us as we
plan and prepare for our monthly community
shop known as 4U2Know , it is a great way to
know “who’s who’s” in the classrooms.
Assessments
Students will be assess by way of a journal. Ques-
tions will be asked, the following are examples
below:
Can you tell me what you mean in this paragraph?
Why do you mean this?
Do you understand the word communication?
Please give me an example.
What do you think this picture represents com-
municating why or why not?
Do you need help with this? Why or why not?
How well did you do today? 1-5. (1=lowest)
What Is Differentia-tion? In my own words differentiation in-
struction is understanding how to get
the content into a process for every
student to know what it is they need to
understand in order to pass a test, a
task, an experiment or a review that
will result in his/her educational suc-
cess. The top 3 important characteris-
tics are : Content, methods used, and
what do my students know? Or don’t
know?
Our Classes are Safe
In today’s world safety is number one for
your child and our students. We now have
installed in our schools the best ADT secu-
rity system, with every moment we moni-
tor what is going on inside our schools in
the hallways, classrooms and offices.
