Theories and Laws Materials

1. Law of the Early Birds (Pumasok ng maaga at pumila kaagad).2. Law of Friendship (Makisingit sa kaklase o ka- kilala).3. Theory of Finger Sucker (Magpalakas ng loob).4. Theory of Tomorrow (Bukas na lang).

1. Rating Slip or Class cards2. Old Registration Form3. Old Receipt4. Enrollment Payment5. Connections

Hypotisis: Ang Planong Pagpapaunlad

Tinawag itong Enrollment and Registration System (ERS).

“There is always a loophole in every system. Wala namang perpektong sistema.

“Two weeks before mag-end ng (First) sem, na-kikipagcoordinate na kami, through our president, sa mga taong involved doon dahil medyo natrauma kami nung last (First) sem,” kwento ni Bagus. “Dapat naiinform sana yung mga students leaders kasi by the end of the day sila talaga yung magiging frontliners ng university,” giit pa niya.. “Sorry na lang kasi di namin na reach yung expectations pero magsorry man kami the damage has already been done” sabi nya.

Ang Obserbasyon ni TekKomento tungkol sa Guards “Useless” -4th year student “In a small way siguro pero may nakasingit na isang student sa pila” -4th year student “Sila nagpagulo” -2nd year student

Nag- aalala dahil

RAMA K. JODA

AHOY! Mga beloved TUPians. Isang pagkabonggang-bonggang pagbabasa sa inyo. Im back!

PROFESSOR NOSE B. LEED. You heard it right. Correct usage of grammar at level of intonation na ang

Hanep! Oh my hero!

All for one, one for all ang drama nito? Tila may galit

sa mundo. Araw-araw ba red tide. Hmm…! Alam na!

PROFESSOR SANTO O. Bibliya. Sus maryosep! Alive! Alive!

May Ganun!

PROFESSOR KIM.

Mega suggest pa ng mga books to read and words to pon-der. Wow!

PROFESSOR BLACKBOARD. Talk to me. Please!

blackboard. At take note, nagpapasulat ng pagkahaba-haba at kanya daw i-lelecture after.

PROFESSOR BOY_KRIZZY. Isang nakakalokang true to life story at chika minute ang drama ng lolo nyo.

Over!

Let’s

go to the annex. San pa? Eh di SM Manila. Ganoon kasipag si prof o kaya with matching check lang ng attendance, then 30 minutes pa lang ang naka-lilipas, pwede na ulit lumabas. Ang saya di ba? Pero teka! May natutunan ba ako? Nasaan yung lesson dun? Haay.. hoping na lang! At may opposite naman

niya. In short, walang dead air na magaganap.

Wow ah! Umaariba at mayroong instant solusyon si prof. Isang extra ordi-nary at extra challenging make your grades high o umabot sa pasang awa na tres. Etchos niya lang ata yon! Meron siyang special proj-

PROFESSOR MATANG-UTOS. Pinagsamang mata-pobre at mapang utos.

Knowlegdeable nga no?

Sus! Ganun ba yon? Absolutely intelehente de full of knowledge!

PROFESSOR BULILIT.

Peace tayo!

PROFESSOR BARBIE ZHU. Wow washday everyday!

Ayaw pa naman ni prof na may lumiliban sa klase or malelate man lang. Whether you like it or you like it! You have to comply or else see you na lang next year. Aray sawi! Sige Adios! PA

Oh Professors!

Green Page Networkby Francis Andrew A. Dy

Fuel-efficient vehicles, renewable energy and protecting threatened forests. These are the common solutions to cool down the tremendous effects of global warming. Best of all, there are some new and enjoyable ways to join the fight against global warming. A good example is the interactive world. Most of us find to be familiar with the games on the internet and social networking sites. As one of the fastest growing medium, it enables huge number of people around the globe to be informed and know the right action against climate change. Feeling good about this drift? So log-in your minds and be connected! Let’s explore the lat-est buzz and trends in the tech world as the environmental games set their way through green revolution.

Staggering warfare of Plants vs. Zombies

Get ready to soil your plants in an all-new action-strategy game from PopCap! A mob of fun-loving zombies is about to invade your home, and your only defense is an arsenal of 49 zombie-zapping plants. Use peashooters, wall-nuts, cherry bombs and more to prevent 26 types of zombies before they can reach your front door. Each zombie has its own special skills, so you’ll need to think fast and plant faster to combat them all. But be careful how you use your limited supply of greens and seeds. There are 50 levels to be conquered in the Adventure mode. Even though your enemies are all zombies, the fun never dies as you battle with different environments like a setting sun, creeping fog and a swimming pool which will make the game more challenging.Want to dig for more? Well, the different game modes like the Adventure, Mini-Games, Puz-zle, Survival, plus the stress-free Zen Garden will assure the excitement inside your wits.

The grandady of green: (Lil) Green Patch

Attention facebook addicts! Granddaddy is here and waves the banner to save the earth. Lil) Green Patch is a Facebook application developed by David King and Ashish Dixit that simulates a small garden on a Facebook user’s profile. By tending their and their friends’ gardens, the Facebook users are able to raise money for Nature Conservancy to save the rain forest. The gameplay revolves around gardening your personal patch of land and helping your friends’ maintain theirs. You’ll be asked to help one of your friends deal with a gardening prob-lem like rabbits eating their flowers, and you can buy supplies at “Crazy Al’s Green Store” to help them out. Essentially, in order to individually succeed at the game, you must help other people. It’s a perfect analogy for environmentalism in general – we all must help each other to make a difference. Very few games could realistically expect friends to help each other out in this way, but in (Lil) Green Patch it seems to work and is a smart adaptation to the social networking platform. You are rewarded for your kindness by gifts of game cash (after you click on butterflies) to help buy more supplies or decorations for your own garden like garden gnomes and flamingos. The artwork is uniformly cartoony, and though not particularly memorable, is pretty cute.

Dive into the Sea Garden

Exploring with sea creatures? Not a problem because Mob Science, a developer of social games, is trying something interesting in the market with Sea Garden Cloning the biggest ap-plication on Facebook, (Lil) Green Patch. Unlike Lil Green Patch’s theme of growing fruit, Sea Garden does it with sea creatures. Players are spurred to send different creatures to each other – the more you send to friends the bigger the variety of creatures you can choose from. While this sounds eerily similar to Lil Green Patch, it doesn’t stop there. Mob Science is also donating money to different ocean-saving charities, such as the Surfrider Foundation, for every 10 creatures you send to friends. It’s a pretty smart idea, and has brought Sea Garden to #15 in the Facebook game charts.

In terms of game play, it’s a very ‘what you see is what you get’ with the game’s main pull be-ing its ‘green fingers’ approach. While it’s fun if you have plenty of friends to play with you, Sea Garden’s overall lack of features right now makes its replay value low for many. Forcing players to earn plenty of ‘SeaBucks’ currency before they can even start getting into the meat of the game might not make as much sense as letting players start with a few items to clean out their garden and get to grips with what’s going on.

Captivating thrill of Farm Town

It is not only prettier to look at but contains a great deal more depth too. Farm Town game has players building up and designing their own farm. You plow away ground, plant crops, care for animals, and place objects in order to make your farm better than all the rest. Each action you take gives you experience, which in turn unlocks new items for purchase, and you earn money by selling your crops or visiting and helping out neighboring

The War is on: Green revolution invades the tech worldAre you ready to battle? Well, it is not easy to go with the clash especially when you do not have the right strategy and weapon to fight against the hottest enemy on the planet, Global Warming.

farms (people added as friends). In contrast with rudimentary graphics of other facebook application, players can create their own custom avatar and walk around a world. When players choose to leave the farm, they can visit the local inn, bank, marketplace, or realtor’s office. Upon arrival, you are im-mediately surrounded with other players also currently online and can talk and socialize with any of them. One of the more interesting features of this game is the ability to hire people to work for you (or visa versa). By doing so, actions around the farm can earn you a 25 percent more income.

The Farmville mania

Farming fanatics, here is the game which will fit your crops! FarmVille has about half as many features as its predecessor. In Farm Town, players are able to travel around to the market and local inn to interact with other players. FarmVille limits players to their own farm and their surrounding neighbors. Like the other farming titles, players plow land, grow crops, and harvest them for money with the sole objective of creating an aesthetically pleasing virtual environment that allows expression of oneself. For each action done, players earn experience and work towards new levels that unlock better and more interesting items and crops. Visually, the game does look good, but it looks rather familiar, using the same art style of Farm Town. However, each item has a cartoonish feel to it and fits well with the visual style. A tree has the same art style as a crop, while in Farm Town it looks more like a photograph. Ultimately, the visual design in FarmVille is excellent, but the game play still leaves a lot to be desired.

Climate Challenge’s redemption

Smarter than a fifth grader? Then climate change game will test your thinking ability. Climate Challenge is a single-player game about climate change. It is a sandbox-style strategy game based on real climate change data, where the player can try out different ap-proaches, learn about the issues and have fun at the same time. The game was designed and developed by Red Redemption Ltd, with scientific advice provided by Oxford University Centre for the Environment (OUCE) and a number of Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) scientists. The developers wanted to make a fun, challenging game, but a game that was also based on scientific facts. Climate Challenge uses the most commonly cited and accepted carbon dioxide emission forecasts, which are produced by the IPCC.

In Climate Challenge, the player takes on the role of the President of Europe, choosing poli-cies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from 2000 to 2100. The player has to balance emis-sions reductions with making sure there is enough electricity, water and food for the people, whilst also managing their spending and trying to remain popular with the electorate. The game was also accompanied by scientific notes for further learning and was also used for on-going scientific research into the effectiveness of computer games as a learning tool.Climate challenge game can be played on http://www.red-redemption.com/climate chal-lenge/.

The Vinyl Game

Can you manage an industry sustain ably? Then Vinyl Game requires you to deliver share-holder profits whilst taking socio-economic and environmental decisions. The Vinyl Game challenges players to manage a virtual plastics industry whilst balancing economic growth against sustainable development. As you play, you are required to build factories and ramp up production to make the profit that shareholders demand, whilst taking the socio-economic and environmental decisions re-quired to run your own PVC industry in a socially responsible way. The consequences of playing purely for economic growth without regard to production safety, environmental im-pacts or issues such as post-use recycling become apparent as society in the virtual scenario responds to lack of corporate social responsibility. The main purpose of the Vinyl game is to increase the understanding of the importance of full material lifecycle assessment in making material choices; and the need for industry, gov-ernment, and society partnership initiatives to be able to meet environmental challenges

The solutions to climate change like the environmental games are here and it’s time we put them to use to win the battle. If we get started today, we can deal with this problem and decrease the unpleasant outcomes that await us if we do nothing. PA
