BROAD STREET PLAZA - Broad Street & Route 34, Matawan, NJ

Matawan is located just south of exit 120 of the Garden State Parkway. Although separated by the Atlantic Ocean by Raritan Bay and the Navasink River, Matawan is considered part of the community that comprises the famous “Jersey Shore”. In fact, the world’s only recorded “inland” Great White Shark attack occurred in Matawan Creek in July of 1916 which brought out national headlines for this prosperous community that even temporarily overshadowed the pending American involvement of World War I. Matawan is known as a community that is “close to everything” and Broad Street Plaza benefits from its proximity to not only this historic downtown shopping district, but also from excellent exposure to heavily traveled Route 34. The project commenced with a new 15,000 square foot Walgreens Pharmacy joining an existing 8,400 square foot Class A office building. The next phase of the project is currently underway and will include an additional 25,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and daycare.
