Hello! Thank you for your interest in

my Services! So, I know what brings you here! You’re looking for

a copywriter who specializes in the Business to Business, specifically one who focuses on the Software Industry. You need someone who understands the ins and outs of crafting effective Copy such as case studies, emails and white papers and combines those skills with a passion for products that transform people's lives.

Whatever your reason for contacting me, you want to know more about me before you hire me to write for you. If we were sitting face-to-face, chatting in your office, you’d ask me questions. Let me try to answer a few of those questions right here and I’ll be happy to address others when I phone you for a follow-up.

Q... "What are your qualifications as a copywriter?” Ever since I started writing as a kid, my soul purpose has been to tell stories that drive and motivate the reader. This has since grown into a lifestyle of writing that will inspire people to take action on your offer. I talk to people about their lives, their companies, and their products. I dig deep into the research of my subject. I, then take the information I’ve gathered and use it to mold a story that showcases the best of what the person, company or product has to offer.

Q...“What is your experience in my industry?”

My interest in B2B Sales grew from my time spent working throughout my life. Being responsible for shopping around and digging for the best bang for my companies buck, and researching the best way to find it. Also with the thriving Software industry right now, there are endless corners of information and countless topics to continue to grow and expand even further. Even as a freelancer, I have continued to write with knowledge for topics with specified interest in the Software Industry.

Q...“What kinds of assignments do you handle?

I specialize in the full spectrum of email services. My email copy builds a narrative that helps people envision how your product can transform their lives and inspires them to make that vision a reality. I can also create a large array of B2B copy, prospering in White Papers and Case Studies.

I can’t predict how many responses my emails and other forms of copy will pull for you, but the one thing I can guarantee is that you will be greatly satisfied with the copy I create for you.

Q..." While we are on the topic...How much does it cost to hire you?"

All you have to do is let me know the type of project you have in mind, and I’ll quote you a price. The enclosed list of estimated fees gives typical prices for a variety of projects.

Q... “How long will it take you to write my copy?”

My ideal time frame is 2-3 weeks to craft your copy, so I can revise and polish it until it fits just right. I want us both to be happy with every word written. I realize there may be circumstances where you can’t wait that long. So, if the job’s a rush, please indicate the date by which you must receive the copy. Due to prior commitments that coincide with your requested assignment, I may not be able to take on something so urgent, however I guarantee that you’ll have the copy on your desk by the deadline.

Q... “What happens if we want you to revise the copy?”

Just tell me what you want me to revise with some guidelines on what needs to be cut or added, and I’ll make the changes. There’s no additional charge for rewriting. Revisions are included in the flat fee we’ve agreed to for the assignment, provided that they are assigned within 30 days of your receipt of the copy and are not based on a change in the assignment made after the copy has been submitted. If you’re not 100% satisfied, I’ll revise the copy according to your specific guidelines, at my expense.

Q... “How do I order from you?”

Putting me to work for you is simple. First, tell me about your product, and the types of customers you are looking to attract. Send me your website URL, as well as any brochures, catalogs or other materials that will give me the background information I need to write your copy. Use the enclosed order form as a guideline. But don’t worry about organizing anything – I’ll do that. If I have any questions, I’ll pick up the phone or shoot you an email and ask.

Regards,

Brittany Lowseth, P.S. If you have an immediate need you may call me right now at 307-871-5298 or email me the details at [email protected] There is no charge to discuss your job

As we work together, it is important that we have fast and easy communication. During our project, I am available Monday through Friday, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. By far, the best way to reach me is through phone at 307-871-5298. I am also available by email Monday through Friday at any time of the day at [email protected]. I check email hourly, so I will be getting back to you within 24 hours of your initial email.

Discussing the Project and Questionnaire

To get started with a potential project, I will send you a complete Discovery Questionnaire. This will help both of us clearly define the scope of the project and ensure maximum results. I will send you a link to the Questionnaire through Google Docs [OR WORD FILE VIA EMAIL]. Please return it to me as quickly as possible — for most clients that is between 1 and 3 business days

After I receive the Discovery Questionnaire, I review and study your answers, plus any other applicable initial research needed. From there, I will outline a short Project Roadmap. This will save you time and help you see that I fully understand the project. It will also be the basis for our Launch Call. 3-10 days after I receive the Discovery answers, we will schedule a 20-minute Launch Call. During this call, we will discuss the Project Roadmap. I will listen to any additional directions and insights you have on the project. Following that call, I will draft and send you an Agreement. If your legal team has an Agreement, we can use that.

Investment and Getting Started

The Agreement will contain all the specifics on what exactly I will deliver, including project deadlines. It will also list your investment for the project and terms of payment. (Note: I require 50% of the project total to begin. Most of my clients prefer to pay by bank wire or overnight payment.) Once we have both signed the Agreement, I will begin working on your copy as agreed.

Research

My research process is very comprehensive. I begin with a complete review of your website and any other materials you send me. From there, I will research the market, including your competitors. In some cases, I will ask to visit with your customer service team, past clients/customers, and different department heads. As needed, I will reach out to you for additional details, product samples, and other resources. You can be confident that I’ll quickly and effectively understand your product, your voice, and your customer’s core emotional purchase drivers.Collaboration

As we work on this project together, communication is critical. Some of my clients are very busy and prefer to hand off the project to me and review the first draft, with very little communication in between. Others like dealing with me on an almost daily basis and be

Page | 6Brittany [email protected]

involved at just about every step of the way. Which are you? Please send me an email and let me know how often you’d like to communicate and what the best way is to reach out to you (i.e., email, phone, social media, text, etc. ... ). One other point ... I require that you assign me a single point of contact on your team. I will communicate directly with that person and they will deal with your other team members as needed to obtain information and approvals. Finally, I STRONGLY encourage you to become familiar with Google Docs. I do all of my writing with this word processing tool. It allows us to track changes, comment, and collaborate in real time. It can be shared with various team members and the working document is always the current document — no need to worry about sending wrong files or things getting lost.

Review of First Drafts

Typically, you’ll receive the first draft in 10-14 business days, depending on the project size and scope. When you get the first draft, please review it carefully. Also, have any applicable team members review it. The most important thing at this stage of the game is making sure that the tone, message, and offer are right. We’ll fine-tune during the second draft ... and third draft, as needed.

Revisions

After you review the initial draft, it is likely that you’ll want some things changed. Please note those changes using the comment feature inside of Google Docs. You can also suggest changes using the Edit Mode feature, which I’ll turn on when I share it with you. Iwill review all your suggested changes within 24 hours of you submitting them to me. I will make my adjustments within 2-4 business days, depending on the breadth and complexity of your suggested changes. In all cases, I recognize that these are your customers and will defer to you as much as possible. Sometimes, there are cases where my clients make suggestions that I know will not work and will hurt profits. In those cases, you can expect me to be bold and direct in my feedback. When clients insist on changes that I feel will not work, I always recommend a simple A/B split test. Let the market vote.

Additional Reviews

After the first round of changes, there may be some additional fine-tuning needed. You can be confident that I’ll gladly work with you until you are delighted with the copy. In most cases, my clients find that one review volley is enough. Whenmore are needed, it is usually just one or two and the process goes quickly. Typically, we can get to a final copy within a 1-3 business days.Final Approval

Once all revisions are done, I will submit a final draft to you. At this point, you approve the copy by sending me an email stating that everything is ready for distribution.Once I receive this final approval from you, I will invoice you for the remaining 50% of the

project investment. The invoice is due upon receipt. I will make every effort to be prompt in responding to your requests and assume that, as a professional, you will do the same with my invoices. In most cases, the final copy is sent to a designer for formatting. I strongly

encourage you to send me a PDF of the final version. I will double check that any graphical elements added by your design team enhance the copy and make it more effective. If I see something that is distracting and may hurt your response rates, I’ll be direct in letting you know. If requested, I’m happy to work with your design team to make any changes needed to make the end version as effective as possible.

Transition to New Projects

Once the project is done, I provide all of my clients with a complimentary follow-up consultation. We spend a few minutes on the phone and discuss what went well and where improvements can be made. We review the Discovery Questionnaire and discuss additional ways to uncover new profits. Where appropriate, we map out a new project to ensure that you continue to have excellent copy that meets your goals and grows your business.

WRITING SAMPLESCase Study – DocuSign

Target Audience: Businesses With a large Client flow Purpose: Educate potential clients on benefits of DocuSign

DocuSign Allows Trona Valley's clients to keep their busy schedules without taking time out of their day to schedule appointments for small meetings such as signatures. BACKGROUND:

Trona Valley is a chain of Credit unions across Southwest Wyoming that began in the 1960s, with only

Page | 9Brittany [email protected]

Page 10: brittanylowsethcopywriting.com file · Web viewInformation Packet. Brittany Lowseth. For all your B2B Copywriting needs . Direct: (307) 871-5298. Brittany@brittanylowsethcopywriting.com

one Company as clients. They had not yet merged and moved their company to allow individuals as Members. This all changed in 1999 when they received their community charter and were able to serve any individual that works, lives or attends school in Southwest Wyoming. THE CHALLENGE:

Trona Valley Federal Credit Union started gaining a large number of individual clients. With this growth rate, they started seeing a rise in the number of Scheduled meetings for such things as signatures to complete transactions and purchases with loans. With all these cancellations and missed meetings, they began seeing a drop-in deadlines being met.

Along with the rise in customers, Trona Valley noticed a rise in cancellations of these meetings due to individuals being busy with school, work, and life itself.

Trona Valley needed an efficient way to keep serving their customers and fit their needs, without continuing to miss deadlines. Trona Valley needed to find a solution that would minimize the number of cancellations without minimizing the number of sales and closures on loans and the like.

The Manger that was employed for Trona Valley Community Federal Credit Union at the time was familiar with this dilemma and she knew who could solve their problem. She recommended that they look into DocuSign. Upon visiting the Wesite and reviewing the reviews and services they offered, DocuSign seemed to be a perfect fit for not only Trona Valley, but also their members. THE RESULT:

Trona Valley was allowed to keep the increase in Members flowing in and allow them to sign documents and forms electronically using DocuSign. This conveniently allows their members to keep applying for loans and forms electronically and sealing the deal with an electronic signature safely and securely.

This also allowed Trona Valley to ultimately cut down on a percentage of their paper usage and keep the security of all the electronic signatures through DocuSign. Reduced the cost of paper by 25% just by cutting down on printing documents for ink signatures. Satisfied Customer In the end, DocuSign was able to provide their client with a solution that met all of their requirements, while saving time and money for both Trona Valley and their clients.

When asked if they were satisfied with DocuSign and its performance the manger replied, "This was one of the best decisions Trona Valley has made since our decision to open up to all members of our community." A Heavy B:

As far back as I can remember, I've been a driven person. Even as a young child I would strive to be the best at everything. Board games, Video games and even Wrestling with my older brothers, I needed to win. Of course with two older brothers that wasn't always the case. Even so, I would just push harder.

I applied myself the same way throughout my school career as well. Kindergarten came easy, with enough golden stars to light up the night sky. First, Second and Third grade were all smooth sailing with straight A's in every aspect of the class. Fourth grade was a little more tough. More courses, more tests, and even more hardships with piers, but none the less I came out on top with all A's.

With all my hard work, the school system noticed me. They saw my drive and the outcome of my elementary years so far. They decided I needed something a little more challenging in my life. They held "special classes" for children working at a higher level than the others, called Access Classes.

Fifth grade came, and onto the Access Class I went. I was proud of myself and eager to go into the class, all with an open mind. Of course this class had more challenges, but it was nice to have other kids at my level. Everything in the class went amazingly smooth. That is until the very last test came back.

I remember it was a science test. Science is and has always been my nemesis. I saw the dreaded red markings on the paper, starting every other line with a red slash. 55% was my score on the one test. Bringing my average grade in the class to an 85%. A B! I was devastated. I had never even seen a B on any test, quiz, worksheet or anything let alone a report card. I couldn't believe I received a B for the first time in my life.

The ending of fifth grade was pretty devastating for me. I felt like that B was an F. Going into sixth grade, I couldn't let it bring me down. I worked harder in my sixth grade class than I had in an of the years before. I applied myself in ways that made me uncomfortable in the past. I joined the Safety Patrol, which was a group of sixth grade students that had to work all of the cross walks around the perimeter of the school. I was determined to redeem myself. In the end it paid off.

An award ceremony was held at the end of the year. KIds receiving atta boys for how well they did, told where they excelled. I was unaware that for the first time in my life I was about to receive an award for my efforts. My name was called and I walked up the aisle to be handed a small trophy with a man standing tall. He was holding a glittering 2002 and a metal plaque at the bottom that stated, "Brittany, you are America's future!"

That was and still is motivation for me to work hard for what I wanted and to get right back up when you fall.

Devastation to Devotion:

My whole childhood growing up, I lived in poverty, with a pretty rough home life. I know what its like to not have a full belly after dinner. Having two cans of Campbell's soup for dinner to feed a family of five. To not be able to go back into the kitchen for second a helping. Switching schools mid school year, moving from home to home, but always seeing it as a new start to a new life.

I grew up in a household with an alcoholic, abusive father, which ultimately led to an event that forever changed the dynamic of my life.

My father was a very good man when he wasn't drinking. Smart, driven and the best intentions of caring for his family the right way. He was handsome, funny and at the beginning stages in my life he was my best friend, but my father also had some dark demons that he could not overcome. He was an alcoholic and in doing so became abusive. My family, including myself, endured a lot from him.

One day when I was on my way to work, I noticed my father had stayed home from work. Now, on days he stayed home, it was because he had, had too much to drink the night before and couldn't handle a day at work. Because of this, I was instantly angry at him. For many reasons, my brothers and I had to help take care of my mother as she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and had become very sick.

It had been a long day at work. I was a waitress and was pulling a double shift that day, open to close. Later in the day, when business slowed down, I was over by the window and saw cops speeding by. Of course in my mind I wondered what was happening, but not in a million years did I think they were heading to my house.

I received a call later that night from my mother that my father had harmed himself and in a split second the call had ended. I was stuck at work with a vague idea of what had happened to my father. Later on I was informed that he was in the hospital with a self inflicted gunshot wound. My father went through surgery after surgery, three in total before passing away at the hospital three days later.

Of course this was the worst possible thing I could have went through in my life. Losing not just my father, but also my best friend, was devastating. How does one cope with something like this? I had to learn and I had to learn quickly if I was going to survive and move on. I turned to my writing. I wrote down feelings, rages, and questions that could never be answered. Luckily, I also have some amazing friends and family to support, not just me, but all of my family.

I decided then, that I could either let my past define who I was, or I could move on, head held high and make a life for myself. I chose the high road.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

All my life I have struggled with bad teeth. As far back as I can remember, I have been in and out of the dentist for this tooth and that tooth, this filling and that pulling. I had a root canal when I was thirteen, and by the time I was fourteen that same tooth started bothering me again. Painful throbbing and sharp, needle like pain shooting through my jaw. My mother had made me an appointment to get it looked at and in the meantime I was a sitting duck, to deal with the pain. So to bed I went with my bottle of Anbesol to help sooth me through the night. And oh what a rough night it was. When morning came and I finally woke for the day, something wasn’t right. My face felt weird. When I moved my jaw, it felt

tight, and almost as if a rubber band was pulling on me. When I got up to brush my teeth, I looked in the mirror and was panicked. My cheek had

swollen up to the size of a softball. It was hard as a rock and red in color. I did the only thing a fourteen year old would do at a time like that and screamed for my mommy.

My mother showed up, upstairs and immediately shared my panicked look as she gazed upon my face. In no time she was on the phone to the closest dentist that could fit me in, and in we went that same day.

My arrival to the dentist office was overwhelming for me, but I was no stranger to this situation. However, I walked in with a swollen face, that, at that time not even a mother could love. My mother was attempting to describe the situation to the receptionist, but for some reason, she could not quite comprehend the description my mother gave her. So with that I was waved over to show the lady just how dire the situation was and the reaction I received was less than pleasant. I expected a gasp, a “oh dear!”, but what did I get? A laugh. The receptionist laughed at the way my face had looked. I was far from happy about what she thought was funny, so I took my embarrassment with me and sat back down until the Doctor came to examine me.

I was later sent home with the news that, that old root canal when I was thirteen was left open and an infection had spread from the root of my tooth into my jaw bone. The swelling was rapidly moving from my cheek into my throat. We needed a solution and we needed it fast.

In the end I did get through it with the help of an at home nurse. I had my tooth pulled, jaw bone cleared of the infection and had to take two weeks off of school. I got through what I later learned was a fatal situation. What I took away from this was that sometimes you have to laugh off the bad situations and work through them the best you can in order to actually make it through and move on. With thanks to my mother and the pictures she took of my deformed face, I can join the laughter of bad situations and move forward with a positive outlook.
