Supervisions will be conducted on Friday afternoons, although if necessary and if

possible an alternative arrangement can be made on an individual basis. Please answer ONEquestion. Essays should be approximately 3000 words in length. By 6 PM on the day preceding

the supervision, ideally an electronic copy should be sent to my email address or, if this is not

possible, a paper copy should be dropped off at the Caius College Porters Lodge. Feel free to

go beyond the reading lists these are only for guidance see what works other scholars have

cited. If you would like to propose your own question, you may do so, but please check with me

beforehand. Supervisions will generally be conducted at Caius College, unless I indicate

otherwise.
