Environmental Energy scene vs Brexit – Julie Gartside, SRL ConsultingJulie is currently the Head of Advisory services at SRL Consulting. Julie is also Chair of the Emissions Trading Group Domestic Measures working group. This group is attended by government departments, the Environment Agency, trade associations and large companies to discuss and debate changes in UK energy and carbon policies (e.g. CCAs, SECR, CRC and ESOS). Julie has led the development of papers on the future of carbon schemes and helping businesses to reduce their compliance burden. The carbon and energy reporting landscape has shifted again. We’ll review what the gases sector needs to know and how the industry needs to respond.

How can gas help decarbonise transport? – Mike Foster, NGVN Mike Foster, formerly an MP and Government Minister is CEO of Energy and Utilities Alliance, which runs the Natural Gas Vehicle Network. Mike will speak about the role of gas, especially for larger, more polluting vehicles such as HGV’s, in helping to decarbonise the UK’s transport sector.

Technical Committee Report - Jake Lake, BCGA Technical Manager and Peter Henrys, Chair of TSC 7, who will discuss recent incidents with medical gases.The section will provide an overview of the key changes from the various Technical and Sub technical Committees and their important achievements made over the last twelve months.

Personal resilience and wellbeing – Collette Heneghan, Optimum Living This is a short, punchy, interactive talk about personal wellbeing, focusing in on the key performance ingredients most people miss. The crucial aspects of nutrition, mindset and lifestyle factors that have the power to affect cognitive performance and energy levels directly will be explained, including practical tactics to make it happen in a busy professional environment. Delivered by Colette Heneghan, an author and leading Peak Performance and Wellbeing Coach.

Improving workplace safety; A new approach using objective movement data to deliver real change – Andrew Ronchi, CEO for DorsaViAndrew Ronchi's background includes 20 years clinical experience in building private practice physiotherapy centres. DorsaVi develops wearable sensor technology that objectively measures human movement and muscle activity and turns this data into actionable insights. In the HSE space, DorsaVi's

competition policy and small businesses and was on secondment to the Italian Government in the early 2000s.

2020 Vision – Megatrends shaping the gases industry – Rob Cockerill, Global Managing Editor for Gasworld Having joined Gasworld as news desk journalist in 2007, Rob has reported from a number of international industry conferences and events, exclusively interviewed some of the leading figures in the industrial gases business, and now heads up all editorial in his role as Global Managing Editor. An exploration of the inescapable markets and megatrends shaping the industrial gases business of today and tomorrow, and some of the challenges and opportunities these could present in the years ahead, as seen by Gasworld.

Claire Lomas MBE – Motivational Speaker and FundraiserClaire made worldwide headlines in 2012 when completing the London Marathon in a pioneering robotic suit taking 17 days, and completed the Great North Run 2016 in 5 days whilst 16 weeks pregnant. She overcame adversity and turned her life around showing what can be achieved with the right attitude and approach to life. Claire has raised funds over £650,000 to help cure paralysis and become one of Britain’s most inspirational women.

Cyber Security – how to hack a smart home! – Tony Gee, Associate Partner, Pen Test PartnersTony has over 13 years of security experience, he has worked both as an internal blue team consultant within the finance industry and for the technology partner for the world leading Oyster card system and more latterly as an external security tester and auditor. With the advent of smart technology ever more pervasive, are we at risk of our houses hacking us?

Threats and security for the gases sector, NaCTSONaCTSO is the National Counter-Terrorism Security Office.A senior officer will give the NaCTSO view on the developing threats which may affect our industry sector, and what we should be doing about them.

Dangerous Goods – What’s going on? – Roh Hathlia, Head of Dangerous Goods Division for DfTRoh was appointed head of the Dangerous Goods Division at DfT in June 2015. Roh has been a civil servant for over twenty years and held various roles including his last one in the Department of Energy and Climate Change, where he worked on international nuclear liability and the development of the UK new nuclear programme. Roh has also held posts in connection to export control,
