RULES1. The show is open to all members of The British Cactus and Succulent

Society and members of The Haworthia Society.

2. Exhibitors should read the schedule carefully.

3. The decision of the committee shall be final in all matters.

4. Judging and classification of plants shall be in accordance with the 10th Edition of The BCSS Handbook of Shows. Judges reserve the right to withhold any award of a prize card in any particular class, if in their opinion an exhibit does not merit such an award. Any plant that in the judge’s opinion is infected by pests or disease will be removed from the show and not be eligible for any award.

5. All entry forms MUST be completed and returned to the show secretary no later than Friday, 11th August 2017, any late entry may be disqualified.

6. Entries will be limited to TWO per exhibitor per class, and only one plant is permitted per pot.

7. All staging must be completed by 10.00 am on the morning of the show. The show manager or the stewards reserve the right to re-position any plant, either for reason of space or aesthetic presentation.

8. Exhibits must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor and are staged at the owner’s own risk. The committee accept no responsibility for any loss or damage, but all reasonable care will be taken.

9. Any appeal against the judge’s decision must be lodged with the show secretary in writing, within an hour of the completion of judging, together with a complaints fee of £2:00, which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.

10. Points will be awarded for each class as follows: First 5 pts Second 3 pts Third 2 pts Highly Commended 1 pt All points will be counted towards trophies and awards.

11. Cups and trophies are perpetual challenge awards and are the property of the BCSS Oxford Branch. Winners must undertake to return them in good condition in time for the next show.

12. Entry to the show constitutes acceptance of the above rules.

Pot conversions (approx) 7.5cm = 2¾" 9cm = 3½" 10cm = 4" 14cm = 5½" 16cm = 6¼" 18cm = 7"

Members are encouraged to bring plants for sale on the Branch Sales Table. Each plant MUST be presented in an individual pot and have a clearly marked label denoting the price and vendor. The Branch will take a 10% level of any sale.
