This unique, 10-storey, U-shaped building houses 170 one-bedroom, 30 two-bedroom, and 22-three bedroom units as well as a 232 m² commercial unit and two indoor amenity spaces. Two landscaped outdoor amenity patios complete this beautiful project.

Design Works Engineering provided complete engineering services for this modern, 140-unit high-rise, adding convenient mixed-use space and density for an up-and-coming community in Toronto.

Located in the central, mature Edmonton neighbourhood of Inglewood, this project benefits from its proximity to several prominent city features and attractions, including the trendy 111 Avenue and 124 Street shopping districts, NAIT, MacEwan University, and the downtown core.

Southpoint is a family and pet-friendly development in Willow Point, just south of Campbell River. This contemporary five-storey building is close to shopping and recreational amenities with 70 modern rental apartment units, many of which have beautiful ocean views and are just steps from the Willow Point Seawalk.

This 199-unit apartment building with underground parkade, located in the Secord neighbourhood of Edmonton, features mechanical, electrical, structural and civil services from Design Works Engineering, plus rendering.

The Ambrose is an 11-storey condominium launching this summer in southwest Brantford. Developed by Elite M.D. Developments, the 198-unit residence is conveniently located within proximity to public transportation, university campuses, shops and restaurants.

This 100,000 ft2 commercial development features well-known retailers in four large-scale buildings, plus a gas station, convenience store, and daycare. It serves as the commercial centre for neighbourhoods in the northwest quadrant of Edmonton.

This unique building featuring European architecture is home to 20 locally-owned shops and businesses totaling 56,000 ft2 . Complete with a parking lot and ambient details such as a fountain and even a hidden alleyway, the development brings an infusion of fresh energy and a vibrant lifestyle destination to the area.

This 80,000 ft2, state-of-the-art dealership with three quick bays, car wash, and 20 service bays supplies and services Chrysler, Dodge, and Fiat vehicles to northwestern Alberta communities.

Design Works Engineering supplied mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and rendering services for this 40,000 ft2 commercial development with three buildings, gas station, clothing stores, and restaurants.

For our first project in Toronto, Design Works was invited to supply mechanical and electrical engineering on short notice to fill a service gap. After our experts identified efficiencies that reduced the budget by $5 million for this hotel next to Canada’s Wonderland, we have continued to work in partnership with the architects, Onespace Unlimited.

As part of our growth in Central and Eastern Canada, Design Works Engineering has sought out projects throughout Ontario, including this modern, 90-room hotel in Thunder Bay, where we provided full engineering services, including energy modelling.

As part of our ongoing relationship with the Tutti Frutti restaurant chain, we provided mechanical and electrical design services for this tenant improvement in Windermere Crossing in Edmonton.

This hotel was designed and constructed in response to increasing demand for accommodations in downtown Prince George, using a combination of modular and site-built construction. Design Works Engineering supplied lead structural engineering services.

Truck Tech supplies heavy duty truck and trailer parts to northwestern Alberta communities. This four bay industrial shop features a two-storey office area, wash-bay, and overhead cranes.

With PolyKar’s expansion to western Canada, their new building is a bold statement that sets the firm apart as a positive leader in the plastics industry. At 66,000 ft2, the building houses a uniquely designed, two-storey office wing at the front and a massive, innovative manufacturing plant at the back.

Prologis is one of the largest industrial developers in North America, with Tapscott DC4 as just the first of three major projects being developed in concert with Design Works. We supplied mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering services, as well as sustainable design for this 140,000 ft2 building that combines warehouse and office space.

Designed and built to handle heavy duty equipment required for a high-volume landscaping company, the Yardmaster industrial shop includes four bays, a two-storey office, wash bay, and overhead cranes.

Home to Royal LePage and TD Canada Trust, the Mill District Plaza includes a two-storey, multi-tenant office building utilizing smart and energy efficient technologies. With state of the art design and building controls, Mill District Plaza has become some of the most sought-after office space in Grande Prairie.

Situated north of Lexus South Pointe, the campus comprises several high-visibility buildings along the intersection of Gateway Boulevard NW and Ellerslie Road. Design Works Engineering designed the solar power system in partnership with Kuby Renewable Energy.

For one of three major hospital projects in this region, our electrical engineers completely overhauled the security system throughout this important care facility.

For phase one of this two-phase project, Design Works provided mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering design for this two-storey, 20,000 ft2 base building. Future tenant improvements in phase two will include medical and dental clinics, pharmacy, and café.
