Warm up Mix of breathing and vocal exercises. New warm up designed to focus on part singing and listening to the other parts at the same time as own tune. Recap Looked back at everything covered so far (in section positions), after a 3 week break from the last session. Better than expected, middle parts weakest. New Added new harmony lines into the chorus, very tricky middle part. 2nd & 3rd female groups combine on this line to give it strength. Lots of focus on this line to try and secure it - it will take a lot more work! Starting to get to the point of more detail now, particularly with the top female part who have the easier tune. Being really picky about tuning, for obvious tuning reasons but it also gives the parts with more difficult lines more of a chance. Performance Touched on singing with the right style/passion for gospel. Majority come across as just singing the notes, not the music (particularly the men!). Hopefully this will progress the more comfortable the notes become.
