PRivatE LEssoNs Coach Brown is entering her fifth year as the University of Charleston’s Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. Coach Brown has amassed 71 wins in four years. All four years, UC has reached the MEC tournament. In 2017 and 2016, Coach Brown led UC to 2nd place finishes in the MEC regular season. In 2016 and 2015, UC finished with 20+ wins each season. In 2015 UC finished in 3rd place in the MEC regular season. Coach Brown hopes to improve even more in their 2018 season and is committed to bringing UC Volleyball to National prominence and to promote the sport of volleyball in and around the Charleston area. Prior to coaching at UC, Brown spent nine years coaching at the club level in Illinois, West Virginia, Georgia, and Ohio. Brown’s collegiate experience was at the University of Charleston from 2005 to 2008. During her playing days under now UC Athletic Director Dr. Bren Stevens, the Golden Eagles won three WVIAC Women’s Volleyball Titles and made two NCAA Tournament appearances. Coach Brown graduated from UC in 2009 with degrees in Interior Design and Art. Coach Brown currently resides in South Charleston. July 30th - August 3rd 5pm - 8pm COST: $125Ages: Entering High School to 12th gradeThe High School All Skills Camp is designed to build skills in all aspects of the game right before High School tryouts through drills and competitive play. Correct technique will be highly emphasized. Passing, hitting, setting, serve receive, defense, blocking and serving will all be covered. Other highlights include: jump training, vertical jump measurement, UC admissions session, recruiting session, weight room training, and agility training. Oh, and don’t forget a daily popsicle break!

July 23rd - 27th 5pm - 8pm COST: $125Ages: Entering 6th grade to 8th gradeThe Middle School All Skills Camp is designed to build fundamental and intermediate skills in all aspects of the game. The camp is geared to each athlete’s current skill level. Each athlete will receive individual instruction thru drills and competitive play. Correct technique will be highly emphasized. Passing, hitting, setting, serve receive, defense, blocking and serving will all be covered. Other highlights include: jump training, vertical jump measurement, weight room training, and agility training. Don’t worry, there are popsicle breaks for this camp too!

July 23rd - 26th 10am - 12pm COST: $90Ages: Entering 1st grade to 5th gradeThe Itty Bitty Spikers Camp is designed to introduce kids to volleyball and start building fundamental skills. The basic skills of setting, passing, hitting and serving will be covered. Rules and game play will be covered as well. Campers will receive individual instruction and feedback through group and partner drills. There will definitely be a popsicle break for the Itty Bitty Spikers.

General Camp

InformationAll camps will be held at the University of Charleston in the new H. Bernard Werhle Sr. Athletic Arena located inside the new

Innovation Center. Campers enter building on 1st floor by elevator.

Parking is available in any lot on campus.Check-In will begin the first day of camp half an hour prior to the camp start. The full amount of registration fee must be paid in full at the start

of camp.There is no cancellation fee pending notice is

given two weeks prior to the first day of camp. Failure to give two weeks notice will result in a

$50 cancellation fee. Campers are required to be covered by their

parent’s medical insurance, which will be used if medical care is required.

Campers should bring their own water bottle and knee pads.
