The Alfred & Adele Davis Academy, an accredited Reform Jewish Day School, provides an academically challenging environment with enriched curricula, integrating general academics and Judaic studies from Mechina: Kindergarten Prep through Eighth Grade. In a nurturing, secure environment, instructed by a faculty dedicated to excellence, children are encouraged to reach their highest potential. The Davis Academy strives to create a community in which children develop a life-long love for learning and commitment to Jewish life founded on morals, values, and ethics, grounded in Torah.

As we take the time to reflect on the success of the 2016-2017 school year, it is important that we recognize the impact that we have collectively had on the lives of every student who walks the halls of The Davis Academy.

From our dedicated and passionate faculty and staff, to our supportive parents and grandparents, to our board members, alumni families and extended Davis community, we all play a critical role in the learning and development of every child. And as we enrich the lives of our students today, we can feel confident that we have been instrumental in building the bridge for them to become our leaders of tomorrow.

The following pages celebrate the many Davis Academy supporters, whose generosity has enabled our school to continue to shine as a top independent school in Atlanta and a model Jewish day school in the national arena. Last year, through your contributions, we were able to:

• Support the Davis Fund with more than $460,000, which was a 30% increase over the previous year, ensuring that our students have the best experience possible, from the classroom, with cutting-edge technology and other innovative tools, to our thriving arts program, to our growing athletics program, with upgrades to our sports equipment and fields.

• Secure 100% participation from our Board of Trustees, 93% participation from our Faculty and Staff, and 93% participation from our parents for the Davis Fund.

• Raise over $140,000 for our school community through sponsorship, participation and a silent and live auction at our 19th Annual Community Golf Tournament at the newly renovated Golf Club of Georgia.

• Raise over $92,000 in additional financial assistance for families during the 2016-2017 school year with our Scholarship Initiative.

• Allocate $583,000 in scholarship money to students through ALEF Fund, The Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program, which allows individuals to re-direct their tax dollars for scholarships to independent schools like The Davis Academy.

In addition, with your contributions to our Next Stage Capital Campaign, which surpassed our $7.5 million goal, we celebrated our expansion in January 2017 and our students quickly settled in and took advantage of the new facilities. What a pleasure to see creative learning in our new innovative classrooms, milestone events taking place in our beautiful Kaufman Chapel, lunch being served in our new dining hall and an incredible performance of Peter Pan Jr. and our first eighth grade graduation ceremony on the stage in our new Rosenberg Performing Arts Theatre. The impact of the new spaces has been incredible.

Every day, the magic of a Davis Academy education unfolds. To all of those who contributed to The Davis Academy, whether through donations or through volunteer support, your generosity has been vitally important and has helped The Davis Academy become the school that it is today—full of bright, motivated students, taught by a talented and creative faculty, supported by an equally amazing staff, imagining bright futures where they can contribute to the greater world around them.

The Davis Academy provides more than just an excellent educational opportunity for our

children; it provides an avenue to explore Judaism and an opportunity to create long-lasting ties to the Jewish community of Atlanta. We believe that The Davis Academy will equip our boys with the knowledge, desire, and ability to explore and improve the world around them, and nurture the bonds that will one day bring them back home to their family and friends. The balanced foundation that the school helps instill in its students will serve them well throughout their lives.

Our oldest son, Joshua, entered The Davis Academy in the fall of 2006. Little did we know how much

Davis would come to mean, not only to him, but also to our family as a whole. Over the next four years our other two children, Justin and Shayna, also entered Kindergarten and were greeted with the same love and warmth that their older brother had received. After watching our children happily go to school every day, I joined the Kindergarten teaching team in 2006. I was fortunate to spend the next five years getting a glimpse of the truly amazing things that take place inside the walls of The Davis Academy. It was very special to be a part of such a dynamic and close community, and we feel truly blessed to have been able to give our family that opportunity. In the spirit of kehilla and the bond that we have with the Davis community, we contribute to the Davis Fund every year and look forward to watching the school grow and continue to thrive.

The weather was perfect and spirits were high as everyone gathered on May 15, 2017 at the newly renovated Golf Club of Georgia

to participate in the The Davis Academy 19th Annual Golf Tournament. The event was

once again a big success, supported by over 50 sponsors, 150 players and more than 75

volunteers. The tournament, followed by a silent and live auction raised over $140,000 for our
