ANCHORAGE INTO EXISTING CONCRETE -
REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF THE DEBRIS IN OTHER ITEMS OF WORK.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS FROM THE DECK SLAB, PIER CAPS, AND ABUTMENT SEATS. INCLUDE ALL COSTS TO
BE INCLUDED IN OTHER ITEMS OF WORK.
DRILL HOLES, ANCHORING INTO THE EXISTING CONCRETE, MATERIALS, LABOR, EQUIPMENT AND INCIDENTALS WILL
PLANS INCLUDING THE COST OF LOCATING EXISTING CONCRETE REINFORCING STEEL, DRILLING, REPAIRING FLAWED
ALL COST TO ANCHOR THE NEW ANCHOR BOLTS INTO THE EXISTING BRIDGE AS SPECIFIED OR AS SHOWN IN THE
CONCRETE REINFORCING STEEL AND WILL BE APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER.
FROM THE PLAN LOCATIONS SHOWN WILL BE THE MINIMUM AMOUNT NECESSARY TO AVOID CUTTING THE EXISTING
CLEAR THE EXISTING REINFORCING STEEL. ANY ADJUSTMENT IN THE LOCATIONS OF THE NEW ANCHOR BOLTS
THE DRILLING WILL CEASE AND THEN THE HOLE WILL BE GROUTED. THE HOLE WILL THEN BE RELOCATED TO

CONFORMING TO AASHTO M164 (ASTM A325). PROVIDE ALL BOLTS, NUTS, WASHERS, AND WELDING
(ASTM A709), GRADE 50W (WEATHERING STEEL, CHARPY V-NOTCH TESTING NOT REQUIRED). USE BOLTS
PROVIDE STRUCTURAL STEEL FOR ROLLED SHAPES AND PLATES IN ACCORDANCE WITH AASHTO M270
AND ENDS OF CAPS).

SEATS AND SLOPE WALLS; AND REPAIRING EXPOSED AND DETERIORATED PILES.
MORTAR REPAIR OF THE ABUTMENTS AND PIERS; FILLING VOIDS UNDER THE APPROACH SLABS, ABUTMENT
PLUGGED AND LOCATED FURTHER AWAY FROM THE BRIDGE. SUBSTRUCTURE REPAIRS INCLUDE PNEUMATIC
REPLACING SELECT BEARINGS, AND RESETTING THE EXISTING BEARINGS. THE EXISTING DRAIN INLETS WILL BE
THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED UNDER THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF FLOOD COATING THE BRIDGE DECK,
CONCRETE REPAIR -
REPLACE FAULTY REPAIRS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE DEPARTMENT.
A TEST AREA TO VERIFY THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROPOSED REPAIR METHOD PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK.
METHODS, PATCHING MATERIAL, BONDING AGENTS, MATERIAL PLACING METHODS AND FINISHING METHODS. REPAIR
