Sudhir Kumar Kohli, now a Luxembourg national, originally from India, has been living in Luxembourg for over 40 years. He is the Founder and the President of the Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg. He is actively involved and instrumental in taking mutual business forward both between India and Luxembourg. Zhujun Xie President of the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Zhujun Xie, Director of Chinese business at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), became the President of the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (CHINALUX) in June 2019. Instrumental in the chamber’s founding as a representative of founder member BIL, Ms. Xie has been a CHINALUX Vice President since May 2013. With her expertise and network, Ms. Xie has played an active role in the Membership Committee to ensure member engagement through member visits and member-targeted events, and more recently in the Government Relations Committee, for which she drives CHINALUX's engagement with relevant government representatives and bodies, as well as industry groups. Charles-Louis Ackermann Vice-President of FEDIL

Charles-Louis Ackermann is the Chairman of ACCUMALUX Group & POUDRERIE de LUXEMBOURG. He has graduated in Chemistry at University of Lausanne (specialization nuclear Chemistry). After first professional experiences in Germany and in Italy, was promoted to the management of ACCUMALUX Group and its mother company POUDRERIE de LUXEMBOURG, a group specialized in plastic injection molding for the battery industry worldwide.

He succeeded in developing the group internationally with productions in Czech Republic, Australia, Bulgaria and Russia. He is further the initiator of the important real estate project "ParcLuxite", a beautiful technological and administrative “mini-Silicon-Valley” in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg. He is a member of different boards of directors: LUXPORT s.a., ROTAREX s.a., CONTERN s.a., EUROBÉTON s.a., PORTLUX s.a., EUROBAT, LUXEMBOURG AIR AMBULANCE, Vice-President of FEDIL and member of Advisory Committee of ING BANK Luxembourg.

Pierre Gramegna Minister of Finance of Luxembourg

Education and qualifications Following his secondary school studies in Esch-sur-Alzette (classical mathematics section) Pierre Gramegna pursued studies in law and economics at the Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), where he was awarded a master’s degree in civil law in 1981 and a degree in economic sciences in 1982. He completed his post-university education with a DEA (postgraduate diploma of advanced studies) in European Union law. He was awarded the title of doctor honoris causa from the Sacred Heart University of Luxembourg.

Governmental posts Following the legislative elections of 14 October 2018, Pierre Gramegna was re-appointed Minister of Finance on 5 December 2018 in the coalition government formed by the Democratic Party (DP), the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP) and the Green Party (déi gréng). Pierre Gramegna had first joined the government as Minister of Finance on 4 December 2013, after the legislative elections of 20 October 2013. As Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna has initiated major reforms to balance the budget and to align Luxembourg’s tax rules with international transparency standards. In 2014, Pierre Gramegna established Luxembourg’s sovereign fund for the benefit of future generations.

Pierre Gramegna is also a promoter of the diversification of Luxembourg’s financial centre, in particular with regard to FinTech and sustainable finance. He is the initiator and president of the LHoFT Foundation, which runs the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology. He has also further developed bilateral relations with China in the financial sector and since he took office, four additional Chinese banks have chosen Luxembourg as their EU hub.

As chair of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council of the European Union during the Luxembourg Presidency (second half of 2015), Pierre Gramegna actively contributed to reaching landmark agreements on the introduction of the automatic exchange of information on tax rulings with EU member states, as well as on securitisation. Pierre Gramegna puts particular emphasis on Luxembourg’s role in multilateral development banks. In 2014, Luxembourg became a member of the African Development Bank and, in 2015, Luxembourg was the first non-Asian country to join the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. In May 2016, Pierre Gramegna was elected chair of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a one-year mandate. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the European Investment Bank and on that of the European Stability Mechanism. He is also Luxembourg’s governor to the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

Professional activities From 1996 to 2002, Pierre Gramegna was Luxembourg’s ambassador to Japan and South Korea. He was subsequently responsible for the Directorate of International Economic Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In 2003, Pierre Gramegna took on the position of Director General of the Chamber of Commerce, an office he held until his appointment to the government in December 2013.

Prior to joining the government, Pierre Gramegna was also a member of the executive board of several companies, including Cargolux Airlines International SA (as chairman from 2004 to 2008), the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (Bourse de Luxembourg), LuxExpo Luxembourg and BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg SA. He has also been a member of numerous advisory committees, such as the Advisory Committee on Foreign Trade (Comité consultatif du commerce extérieur), the Economic Development Committee (Comité de développement économique) and the National Committee for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship (Comité national pour la promotion de l’esprit d’entreprise).

Luxembourg's contribution to ArcelorMittal Manufacturing Industry

Michel Wurth Chairman ArcelorMittal Luxembourg Michel Wurth,joined Arbed in 1979 and held a variety of functions. In 2006, he became a member of ArcelorMittal’s Group Management Board, responsible for Flat Carbon Europe, Global R&D, Distribution Solutions and Long Carbon Worldwide, respectively. Michel Wurth retired from the GMB in April 2014 and was elected to ArcelorMittal’s board of directors in May 2014.

He holds a law degree from the University of Grenoble, France, and a degree in political science from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Grenoble as well as a master’s in economics from the London School of Economics, UK. Michel Wurth is also doctor of laws honoris causa of Sacred Heart University, Luxembourg. Michel Wurth is Vice-Chairman of the Luxembourg Red Cross and he is member of several boards of directors.

Jean-Paul Olinger Director, UEL (Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoise)

Jean-Paul Olinger, 41, heads Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises (UEL) and the Institut National pour le Développement durable et la Responsabilité sociale des entreprises (INDR). He holds an MBA from HEC Lausanne and a Master of Business Law and Taxation from the University of Mannheim. Jean-Paul joined the tax team of KPMG Luxembourg in 2005, where he successively became director in 2014, associate partner in 2015 and partner in 2016.

In January 2018, Jean-Paul joined the General Secretariat of UEL; first as Secretary General and then as Director. He chairs UEL’s Executive Committee and holds various board positions in Luxembourg's social security bodies. Jean-Paul has been a member of the Federation des Jeunes Dirigeants since 2012, which he presided in 2016/17.

Raymond Ackermann Panellist, Partner, GSK Luxembourg S.A.

Raymond Ackermann has finished high-school in Luxembourg, his native country. He did his bachelor in economics in south of France. His study-path continued in the USA including an exchange program in Shanghai before graduating in Boston with a Master degree in International Business. After his studies Raymond started working at Deutsche Bank on Wall Street, then in Berlin and finally in London city.

At that time and after having gained some experience outside, an opportunity came-up to join the company ACCUMALUX, mainly producing plastic components for the automotive, motive power and reserve power batteries. Given his knowledge of the Russian language, the entrance fitted well with a recent development of the company’s activities in the east. Today, Raymond is responsible for the Russian plant, is the head of Sales and of Purchasing and a board member of ACCUMALUX GROUP.

Besides work, Raymond continues to follow the financial markets, is active in a federation for young leaders (FJD) and is a founding member of the Luxembourg chapter of the international Family Business Network (FBN).

Joel Cardenas Panellist, Business unit director, Intertrust

Holder of a degree in law with a Master in international tax and accounting, Joel Cardenas is an accounting and financial services professional with over eleven years experience. Before joining Intertrust Luxembourg in 2013, Joel spent the majority of his professional career with Big Four audit firms. He gained extensive experience as an external auditor and as an accounting and financial advisor and was responsible for a team focused on transactions for holding and operational companies in Luxembourg.

Joel currently holds the position of Business Unit Director and heads a team of approximately 25 legal and financial professionals dedicated to the Southern European & Latin American markets. His client portfolio consists of large corporate clients, multinationals and private equity funds. Joel is member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) association and is a lecturer of the International Tax Master for the law firm Garrigues in Madrid, Spain.

Stefan Grengs Panellist, Director Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management of IEE Group Stefan Grengs has almost 17 years in the automotive sector in various areas where he held multiple responsibilities. He holds a university degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA with specialization in General Management.

As Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain at IEE, he is in charge of five plants in the USA, Mexico, Slovakia, Luxembourg and China, the central process and prototyping organization and as well the global logistic & supply chain organization. He has 13 years’ experience in start up operations in several countries and as well in China where he had a local assignment for almost 2 years.

Heike Carl Zatterstrom Panellist, Chief Communications Officer, BOSON ENERGY

Olga Huizinga-Lvova is an audit Director and an active member of the Russian desk of Deloitte Luxembourg. Olga is a Réviseur d’Entreprises in Luxembourg and a Qualified Chartered Accountant in the Netherlands. She has extensive experience in the financial services industry dealing with Russian and CIS clients. Olga is Director of LRBC (Luxembourg Russia Business Chamber) since 2014.

Irina Boechat-Agaponova

Irina Boechat-Agaponova is director and member of the management board of Pan-Invest Luxembourg, regulated service company, providing tailor-made solutions for all aspects of corporate infrastructure in Luxembourg and globally. Jacques is Co-Head of China Desk at KPMG Luxembourg. Being a certified tax consultant in Luxembourg, he has been assisting clients with China outbound and inbound transactions for more than 12 years. Also, Jacques is Vice President at the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (CHINALUX), and he is heading the Events and Communications committee. Prior to joining KPMG Luxembourg and CHINALUX, Jacques did an internship with ArcelorMittal in Shanghai.
