Brian Salcido – Singer/Songwriter Brian Salcido hails from outside of Philadelphia, and returned to the city after studying English and music at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. At the end of his freshmen year, he began recording with Craig Gonci (Wise and Foolish Builders and Missing Palmer West). Over the next few summers, he would tweak things and write more, and by the end of Brian’s senior year he had recorded a full album, "All in Every Word," which was released in January of 2008. Influenced by Dylan, Buckley, and Hendrix, among others, Salcido’s soulful pop warms any room. His landmark gigs include opening for Jesse Harris (wrote Norah Jones' hit "Don't Know Why") at the M-Room, several appearances at the North Star Bar, and playing at Saratoga’s landmark venue Caf é Lena, (where Don Mclean wrote ''American Pie.’’) Salcido’s music is heartfelt songwriting at its best; melodic, catchy, and with pleasantly surprising twists and turns. He combines the guitar-driven pop of John Mayer with the introspective vibing of Stevie Wonder. Brian shares the stage with an unnamed backing band, including Gonci on a Fender Rhodes, Mike Ducassoux on Drums, Tyree Barron on Saxophone, and on bass, his little brother Nick. The group is currently working on a follow-up to “All in Every Word.” Brian and his band are available for performances in and around the Philadelphia area. And beyond!
