Previously, the Business Units acted independently, leading to 17 different ways to determine which applications were to be recorded, how and where to record the application information, and a lack of standardization and governance regarding applications Improved overall Application Data Quality from 20% to 85% by helping to improve the Application Portfolio Catalog to encompass 78 data points for each of Upstream’s 8,000 applications. Data quality was based on 18 of these key attributes. o Created a dashboard in Excel to monitor each Business Unit’s data quality scores and provided a list of failing application entries and a list of corrective actions to enable Business Units to improve data quality. o Mockup Excel reports have been transitioned to automated reports using SQL queries to mine raw data, PowerPivot to organize the data and generate reports, and SharePoint to visually present the reports. Working with Upstream Business Units to discover application decommissioning opportunities to lean the application portfolio, simplify the application environment and reduce application TCO. o Ensured Chevron application standards were used when available to streamline the application portfolio and reduce licensing fees by leveraging economies of scale. o Worked with Business Units not using application standards to determine why they were not. • Led project to upgrade Upstream’s 35,000 workstations from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and then from Windows 7 to Windows 10

o Created standardized functional application testing in each new OS eliminating testing

redundancy across multiple business units for shared applications

o Created first cross-business unit application inventory by scanning all Upstream machines

and compiling information into an Access database used for report generation after determining reimaging machines removed all locally installed applications, including SCADA / Automation software

Removal of such software would have halted pipeline activities, costing Chevron millions of dollars

o Introduced new application on-boarding process that automatically inventoried applications

and alerted team leads and compliance teams when new software was introduced into the Chevron environment

• Prepared and presented IT Reliability reports to all levels of IT Management via custom built reports and PowerPoint presentations
