We have a comprehensive approach to investment management, putting our clients at the heart of the process. Initially we take time to understand your personal goals and objectives as well as your current financial circumstances before implementing an agreed investment plan.

Since no two investors are alike, we are always keen to listen closely to your reasons for investing. We will pay particular attention to your personal financial aims, priorities and concerns. Whether you are thinking of changing investment managers or selecting an investment manager for the first time, we will be happy to explain our services and answer any questions you may have.

For any client looking for an investment manager, a professional approach is absolutely vital. This is one of the reasons why professional advisors such as accountants and solicitors actively refer their clients to BRI. If we believe your investment affairs are already as they should be, we will tell you so and will leave things as they are; only if we see that you will benefit from a fresh approach will we recommend it to you.

We are dedicated to nurturing lifetime relationships with each and every one of our clients. To ensure we achieve this, our investment process is structured to build and preserve client wealth over the long term.

We select and manage investments from the whole of the relevant investment market, but because our investment managers do not advise on investment types such as pensions and life insurance, their advice is considered restricted.

BRI also offers a Chartered Financial Planning service. Within our team we have a number of Chartered Financial Planners and an experienced team of administrators, providing advice and expertise on pensions, estate planning, divorce, long-term care, protection and lifestyle planning

BRI Wealth Management plc is a leading, independently owned,

wealth management company. We have over 45 years’ experience

in providing discretionary, advisory and execution-only portfolio

management services for private investors, family trusts, charities, pension schemes

and financial institutions. Our mission is to fully understand our clients’ needs and

meet their short, medium and longer-term goals.

1. Who we are

BRI Wealth Management PLC

BRI has a highly-qualified and knowledgeable investment department. Working together with a team of chartered wealth managers we are able to create bespoke portfolios tailored to your specific

needs. Our services include:

The approach we adopt to investment is conservative but innovative, based on diversifying portfolios across a number of different asset classes and risk profiles. Our aim is to generate competitive returns to meet your requirements without taking undue risks.

BRI has a dedicated in-house investment management team. These specialists provide high quality analysis on equities, collectives, fixed income securities, property investment and alternative investment strategies. We have the freedom and capability to search the whole of the market to find suitable investment opportunities, including blue chip, mid cap and small cap UK equities. This internal resource is complemented by a constant flow of market information from external economists, brokers, fund managers and product specialists.

Investment strategy is set and reviewed formally on a monthly basis by the Sector Strategy Committee, led by our Chief Investment Officer. The Committee considers macroeconomic trends, market dynamics and valuations when determining individual weightings at both asset and regional levels. Our investment managers use this research to help shape strategies and manage your portfolio.

Whatever your circumstances may be, you can feel confident that we have the experience and expertise to develop an investment solution to suit you. This is where our client relationships start; understanding family dynamics is key to implementing the right investment approach. We can introduce you to our experienced financial planners who can provide advice and expertise on pensions, estate planning, divorce, long-term care, protection and lifestyle planning.

2. What we do

Knowledge . Service . Trust.

• Private Clients: We create individual portfolios and have a joined-up approach to managing your investments, incorporating a wide range of tax-efficient vehicles including not only a general investment account, but also ISAs, bonds, family trusts and pensions.

• Trusts: We have a comprehensive understanding of this complicated subject area, and work with clients and solicitors alike. We set up and manage trust accounts for our clients.

• Pensions: Working alongside our Financial Planners, we manage Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSASs) and Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs). We offer our own SIPP wrapper which is free of charge to our clients until the point of drawdown.

• Charities: We provide investment services to a growing number of charities. Our flexible approach allows us to offer bespoke solutions to help a diverse range of charities and non-profit organisations.

• Probate: BRI offers a full probate valuation service covering all listed investments for estates. This can support professional advisors and executors to administer estates in a timely and cost-effective manner, and we are able to offer our expertise and advice to both the executors and the beneficiaries of an estate

BRI gives you the flexibility to decide whether you want us to manage your portfolio on a discretionary or an advisory basis. The option you choose is likely to depend on your own level of interest in and

understanding of investment markets. You also need to consider how much or how little time you have available to involve yourself in day-to-day decision-making.

Our Discretionary Service:Building a strong working relationship with clients is the key to providing an exemplary level of service. All our discretionary clients enjoy direct access to their investment manager, who is responsible for investment decisions taken within their portfolio. Regular reporting ensures our clients remain fully informed about their investments.

Such is the pace of change in investment markets that it can be too much of a challenge for anyone but the most dedicated investor to track a well-diversified portfolio of investments and keep their knowledge up-to-date. Our discretionary management service offers an attractive and convenient solution for those without the time, inclination or expertise to take an active role in managing their investments. A dedicated investment manager will take care of the day-to-day running of a portfolio, from determining and maintaining the most appropriate blend of assets and managing risk, to dealing and administration.

Your experienced investment management team will continue to monitor your portfolio and use their discretion to make changes on your behalf. We will keep you abreast of developments in your portfolio through regular valuations, as well as through direct contact with your investment manager.

As a BRI client, you will be able to access your account online. This allows you to check the status of your investments at any time and from anywhere.

Our Advisory Service: If you prefer to be more directly and frequently involved in the decision-making process, our advisory management service may be appropriate.

We will offer you our professional advice and recommendations, based on our monitoring, analysis and evaluation of the market, but no changes will be made to your portfolio without your authority. The final decision is always yours.

Whichever option you prefer, at the heart of BRI’s recommendations or decisions is an investment strategy developed for you which manages your investments effectively, whatever conditions we encounter.

Execution only service: This is where we take your instructions and act on them without giving you advice. We charge only a dealing commission for this service.

If you are still uncertain about which management arrangement to choose, let us help you decide. If you want to change at a later date, it is quick and easy for us to alter your service type accordingly.

Step 1: ConsultationFirstly, your BRI Investment Manager will introduce themselves and provide information about how we are able to work with you, and the services we can provide.

We will aim to gather sufficient personal and financial information from you to enable us to compile our recommendations and advice; we call this ‘fact-finding’. In advance of our initial meeting, we will send you details of the information we will need to discuss so that you can be prepared. By doing this, we can make sure that the meeting is of maximum value and can focus on your specific requirements, rather than simply recording basic information.

Whether we meet in our offices, at your home, or talk over the telephone, we will take time to understand your requirements and preferences so that we can fully understand the level of risk most suitable for you to take. Bearing in mind your tax status, investment horizon, income needs, and any other important factors which are unique to you, we will construct a personalised portfolio specific to your requirements.

There is no charge for the initial consultation.

Step 2: AdviceHaving completed the consultation process with you, we will work with you to understand your priorities and your future expectations. No two clients have exactly the same investment objectives, and so we offer a bespoke approach to managing assets that is driven by close relationships. Your investment manager will discuss how you wish to balance risk against volatility, in order to provide you with the right asset allocation and risk-adjusted return.

Once we have gathered all the necessary information we will prepare a comprehensive report which will document our advice. The report will provide a summary of your existing position, a review of your current arrangements and tell you our proposed investment strategy. It will also give you other administrative and regulatory information.

Step 3: ImplementationAt the implementation stage we will put in place the recommendations agreed with you to meet your specific needs and objectives. This may also include dealing with any broader or more complex issues that may be required, such as trust work or estate planning.

We will assist you with the completion of any relevant application forms and additional information required by third parties. It is important that you check all the information you provided is correct before signing any documents. Only when we know exactly what your requirements are will we start to develop a portfolio of investments to suit your individual circumstances.

Step 4: On-going ServiceWe aim to build long-lasting trusted relationships with all our clients so we offer the opportunity to have regular review meetings at intervals to suit you. This will involve reviewing your investments to ensure that they remain appropriate and, if necessary, recommending changes to make sure that your arrangements continue to meet your needs. This is an on-going process and an essential part of making sure that your arrangements take account of changes in your personal and family circumstances.
