    The company Brevini Power Transmission which was established in 1960 in Reggio Emilia, where its headquarters are still located -- is one of the European leaders in the field of power transmission. Its complete range of products includes everything from planetary gear units to in-line and right-angle gearboxes, speed variators, and winches.

    FLANGE MOUNTED Brevini's in-line or right angle planetary gearboxes can be used in a wide range of industrial equipment and mobile applications. They are based upon a flexible modular system and are available with either male or female output shaft configurations. The male configuration (cylindrical or splined) is used where side or axial loads are acting upon the output shaft. The female configuration is used to transmit purely torque and is employed where space is limited. The flange mounted gearboxes are supported by a wide range of accessories. These include: adaptors for electric and hydraulic motors, multidisc failsafe brakes and male input shaft configurations.     HIGH TORQUE "S SERIES" The "S Series" is the optimum proposal for all applications requiring high torque with minimum dimensions, on fixed industrial equipment and also self-propelled machines. This epicyclic solution is preferable to solutions with traditional gear units as it offers an improvement of 40-60% in terms of space and weight. With its many output versions, numerous input possibilities and all the accessories supplied, the "S Series" extends the application possibilities of Brevini epicyclic gear units to all industrial sectors: mixers for any type of material, extruders, all types of conveyors belts, industrial and port lifting equipment, grinders and mills, machines for working sheet and rod, large iron-making plants, sugar and food oil production plants, plants for quarries and mines, purification plants.     WHEEL DRIVE Compact planetary wheel drives, designed for a wide range of self propelled vehicles with hydraulic transmission and individually motorised wheel drives.     PUMP DRIVES The Brevini pump drive gear units can drive up to 5 pumps from a single prime mover: diesel engine or electric motor. The flexibility of the mixer drive design provides users with a number of construction options, including in-line and right-angle configurations, and the facility to directly mount a motor to the gearbox via a flange. Starting from the Customer's requirements, our gear units can add configurations, motors, brakes and accessories, in order to customize the transmission system to the specific segment of application: cattle feed mixers (see picture on left), concrete mixer, snow cats, power shift and gearboxes for drilling equipment, packages with right-angle gear units or with input worm reduction set.     POSITWIN GL Double shaft extruder gear Double shaft extruder gears have been built by P.I.V. since 1984 for a variety of applications in the plastics and food industries and have been put into operation around the world to our customers' complete satisfaction. The gears are case hardened and ground and optimised with a profile correction according to the load, which consists of bending and torsion. A very good noise behaviour is achieved through a high contact ratio. The axial forces which occur during extrusion from the process part are safely absorbed in the gear with tandem bearings and self-aligning roller thrust bearings. This extremely compact and appealing design means that we are able to provide a modern, high-power gear in small installation spaces. These new gear reducers, which are protected by a specific patent, feature a combination of planetary and helical/bevel helical gears that takes advantage of the strengths of each technology: compact size, reliability and easy maintenance. This new series of lighter, more compact gear reducers surpass traditional solutions for planetary and bevel helical gear reducers and also ensure shorter production times and lower production costs. The design of these ultra-compact gear units is based upon precise analyses using FEM (Finite Elements Method) techniques applied to 3D models, which means that performance, in terms of duration and silence, was optimized already in the virtual prototype phase. Advanced engineering techniques, long experience and the use of high quality parts led to the creation of a product that ensures high performance over time, a fact that has been confirmed by tests that simulate real operating conditions.     EGO Specifically designed by Brevini Winches to satisfy the needs of companies that manufacture drilling machinery, earth-moving equipment, and stationary or truck cranes, these new series of winches have been designed in conformity with FEM standard. The main characteristics of these winches are: high performance and reduced dimensions, thanks to the gearbox installed inside the drum. The EGO winches have hydraulic motor-driven units and an integrated balancing valve unit for controlling the load while it is descending, as well as a selector valve for opening the integrated motor brake. The rope speed on the first layer varies from 20-50m/min depending on the oil-flow. There is also a wide range of accessories available: grooved drum (standard or special), double drum, winch without frame, prearrangement for drum revolution counter, control system for minimum and maximum rope winding, cable gland, special painting, rope mounting onto the winch.     BW This series of hydraulic hoisting winches stands out for its excellent performance and compact size made possible by the special design in which all mechanical and hydraulic parts are inside the winch drum. The winches in this series all have hydraulic motor-driven units with a fixed displacement axial piston motor type and an integrated balancing valve unit for controlling the load while it is descending, as well as a selector valve for opening the integrated motor brake. As a result, the rope can be easily and quickly wound clockwise or counterclockwise, simply by rotating the load control valve. The generously proportioned negative lamellar brake was designed to withstand very high braking torques. Installation is simplified by the exclusive design of the lateral supports in the square frame versions.     RAPTOR- BWT This series of light, compact hydraulic winches sold by Brevini Winches is a huge success with tow truck manufacturers. The versions ranging from 2.500 to 6.000 kg all have as a standard feature the integrated negative lamellar brake (we were the first in the world to introduce this solution) and a manual declutch system (hydraulic or pneumatic are also available on request). A hydraulic motor-driven unit with variable displacement can also be installed on larger versions. The power generated by the hydraulic motor-driven unit is transferred to the drum by way of planetary gear units incorporated in the drum and a mobile crown to facilitate the declutch process. A range of accessories such as rope guides and pressure rollers are available on request. The new version, lighter and more compact, with a maximum line pull from 2.500 to 4.600 kg and greater rope capacity, is launched on the market in 2004.
