“Fund the Student Experience”
Tonight, you’ll have the opportunity to help strengthen our mission of...
“providing an experiential liberal arts education that
encourages personal growth and inspires artistic,
intellectual and social action.” Funding the student experience allows you, our very special donors, a chance to help our students take learning to the highest level. Your dollars this evening will help our students experience Fine Arts in ways that they never imagined, from attending conferences and competitions to interfacing with world-renowned artists.
You can make a difference
"Because of Friends of Fine Arts (FOFA) funding, I was able to attend Southeastern Theatre Conference where I got a job at Central City Opera as a Wig and Makeup Assistant. I expanded my knowledge of wig making, styling and theatrical makeup, and brought that acquired learning back to BC for our productions.” ~Hallie Moore ’19, Theater Studies major
“FOFA’s generosity allowed me to travel to state and regional competitions, where I performed for music educators from all over the region. I am now using those experiences in graduate school at University of Tennessee. Thank you FOFA!” ~ Tori Franklin ’17

Daughters of Odessa Donated by Collectors Paul & Cathy Cooper
This resin sculpture showcases the profoundly realistic, classical art style for which the world-renowned sculptor, Frederick Hart (1943-1999), was known. In a world and time where modernist, abstract art was dominant, Hart stayed dedicated to realism.
The resin piece being auctioned depicts four young women, referred to as the “Daughters of Odessa.” Each figure has open, welcoming arms, their expressions peaceful.
Hart dedicated the sculpture to all children who lost their lives in the catastrophes of the 20th century.

“FOFA supported my trips to the North Carolina Sculpture Consortium and Tri-State Sculpture conference. Those trips were some of the most influential
moments of my time here as a sculptor. The knowledge and experiences from those trips have continually inspired my work and have broadened possibilites for
my art. Without those experiences I honestly believe I would not have accomplished as much at Brevard College.” ~ Haley McGavin ’18
Be Inspired, Join Today. FOFA is an organization that enables supporters of the
Fine Arts to target their gifts of time and money, to those
things that nurture the growth and flourishing of the Fine
Arts at Brevard College. Funds go exclusively to support
initiatives and opportunities that directly benefit
