OBJECTIVES

My main objective is to promote water-ski and wakeboarding worldwide. To assist individuals and teams to

maximise their professional goals, on and off the water, in their respective areas from junior to senior levels, I do this

by applying a combination of my crossover skills I have acquired from 38 years experience of competing all over the

globe, at the highest possible level of three event water ski tournaments, The World’s, The European (senior and

junior) Championships, also Australia’s (invitational) Moomba asters. I have 22 years competition experience at top

level wakeboarding around the globe, including the world championships in Australia and France the Europeans in

Greece and Sweden.

I also incorporate my skills and experience in fitness and flexibility, agility and yoga techniques, injury prevention and

management, nutrition and health, mental and physical competition preparation.

TEAM COACHING

I am recognised by the British water-ski and wakeboard federation as the Highest Level Senior Coach and I am

available for water-ski and wakeboard team coaching. I am able to work alongside all waterski and wakeboard

federations. I am also a fully qualified first aider and I am DBS (criminal records beau) checked.

COACHING AND TUITION

Personalised instruction with Brett Hodgkins has been designed to maximise your wakeboarding / water-ski

potential. From beginner to professional coaching is on a one-to-one basis and all done without having to leave the

familiar surroundings of your home training site!

Along with Four Event Coaching I utilise the Headzone - a waterproof coaching system – as part of a one-on-one real time on water instructional aid. I also incorporate the use of Image Analysis video instruction (if requested). As part of the British Team since the age of twelve and with more than 38 years skiing experience, I have competed against and worked with world class wakeboarders and water-skiers from all over the globe with my finger on the pulse of the latest training techniques in wakeboarding, rails and three event waterskiing. My high media profile includes extensive coverage worldwide in television, magazines, and newspapers including front covers and feature articles in The Sunday Telegraph Magazine, The Times, The Sunday People, Sunday Telegraph, Daily Mail, Wakeboard & Water-ski magazine USA and Worldwide Press. Team captain and team member of 2002 Wakeboard Worlds Team Brazil. Also freelance coach. Wakeboard team manager at Offaxis Wakeboard School in Wales, from Summer 2015 onwards. Running Wakeboard/Wakeskate/Trick Ski/Surf and Waterskiing camps along with island adventure holidays, Antigua, December/January 2015/2016 onwards in association with OneLoveAcademy Wakeboard and Waterski School ‘My goal is to provide you with the very best in professional wakeboard/water-ski instruction, made simple and effective, both on and off the water, and involve the element of fun, enabling you to relax and reach your full potential.’

Throughout my sporting career I have been privileged to have been invited on many Royal

Princess Diana, Princess Anne, Winston Churchill Fellowship and The Queens cousin Major

General Lascelles and Pope John Paul 2nd.

I was also part of the World Commonwealth and World Champions to visit Buckingham Palace.

WORKING WITH DISABLED WATER-SKIERS

During my time working at Stoney Park, Australia I had the opportunity to work with mentally and physically

disabled water-skiers for their water-ski nationals. Duties included official boat driver, helping people improve their

skills over a week training course prior to the event. I also set up equipment and assisted in getting the students into

and out of the water. These participants were dealing with both mental and physical disabilities. I also work with the

British Disabled Water Ski Association (BDWSA) at Heron Lake in London. Assisting all levels of disabilities, helping

improved their skills on the water.

RESIDENT SKI SCHOOL CLINICS

I will be running numerous wakeboard, waterski and rail clinics during the season within the UK, in conjunction with Headzone. These will be aimed at every level of participant from beginner to expert/pro. As a British waterski senior coach i have attended various high level coaching seminars under the world class waterski programme. I was also British team captain for the IWSF 2002/3 wakeboard world championships and have gained plenty of expertise and experience to help you achieve your goals.
