The Palmerston WaterPark has received amakeover ahead of theschool holidays with theGovernment installingnew shade structures.

I have visited the park toview these shade cloths

and they have made asignificant improvement tothe Palmerston Water Park.

The lack of shade has beena common complaint forfamilies since the WaterPark opened, with concernsover their childrens safety inthe harsh sun.

These shade shelters allowour children to cool offsafely and will mean a more

    New Palmerston Water Park shade

    Progress for Childand Family Centre

comfortable day out formums and dads.

As a Local Member Ihave received a lot ofcommunity feedback aboutthe Palmerston Water Parkand the need for sufficient

shade, people just arentprepared to spend the dayin the sun and risk seriousburns.

This is just another exampleof where the Government isdelivering for Palmerston.

Complaints of lack of shade at the Water Park have been acted on

The foundations havebeen laid and wallserected for the PalmerstonChild and Family Centre

Palmerston is the fastestgrowing region in theTerritory and pouring ofthe concrete slab is literallylaying the foundations forimproved family services inthe Palmerston region.

A common theme I hear fromPalmerston families is theshortage of childcare placesso the extra 50 places in this

new centre will be welcomedby the community.

I will continue to keep youupdated as this projectprogresses at the PalmerstonCommunity Health Precinctin Farrar.

Welcome to our newestcandidate for TeamPalmerston, NathanBarrett. It is important tohave a team of strongleaders for the future ofPalmerston.
