Family Activities & Events TOURS

Regina City Tour Wednesday, June 6th — 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This guided tour will take you through the historic city of Regina.

Morning highlights include the former Union Station, now Casino Regina; historic downtown; the Royal Saskatchewan Museum; the Provincial Legislative Building; and a trip to the First Nations University of Canada for a “teepee” information session.

Lunch will be a relaxing culinary treat at Wascana Park.

The tour will continue to Government House, built in 1889 as a home for the Lieutenant-Governor of the North West Territories and his family. Today, the facility is a working office for the Lieutenant-Governor, and serves as a historical landmark and tourist attraction.

The afternoon concludes with a tour of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) barracks.

Tour cost $85 plus GST (lunch not included)

Moose Jaw Tunnels, Gallery and Spa Guided TourThursday, June 7th — 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The City of Moose Jaw, originating from the Cree word “Moosegaw,” which means warm breezes, is located 45 minutes west of Regina.

The Roaring Twenties brought a measure of notoriety to the city with the likes of Public Enemy Number One — Al Capone. The Tunnels of Moose Jaw tour will take you through a network of underground passages used to smuggle liquor during the

prohibition era. Join Capone’s men for a taste of living the high life and the cost of laying low on the “Chicago Connection” Tunnel Tour.

Next, you’ll tour a classic collection of giant historical murals painted on the exterior walls of downtown buildings. Moose Jaw’s murals depict the challenge and excitement of the city’s early years. Take a walk along Main Street and discover unique gift shops. Then enjoy Saskatchewan flavours with lunch at the Copper Café in Yvette Moore’s Art Gallery.

To complete the day, soak in the warm mineral waters of the Temple Garden’s Mineral Spa, or just enjoy the solitude and browsing the shops of the Spa before returning to Regina.

Tour cost $115 pp plus GST (lunch included)
