Music Before the Service and Welcome

650 Prayer

Almighty God, There are so many unknowns right now. The one thing I know I can count on is your presence. When it seems the whole world is going

sideways, I can trust that you are with me. “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Help me to trust you with my whole self, and assure me that even

in the midst of this holy disturbance, you are leading me to the incredible things I haven’t even imagined yet. Amen.

RECKLESS LOVE Before I spoke a word, You were singing over me You have been so, so good to me. Before I took a breath, You breathed Your life in me You have been so, so kind to me. CHORUS: Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine I couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it, still, You give Yourself away Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God. When I was Your foe, still Your love fought for me You have been so, so good to me. When I felt no worth, You paid it all for me You have been so, so kind to me. Repeat chorus. There's no shadow You won't light up Mountain You won't climb up Coming after me. There's no wall You won't kick down Lie You won't tear down Coming after me. (4x) Repeat chorus. Open Doors. Welcoming all of God’s children. Brecksville United Methodist Church is called to the ministry of reconciliation. We

embrace diversity as a gift. We celebrate our human family’s diversity of sexual

orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, faith history, economic status, marital

status, physical and mental ability, and education. We affirm that all people are created

in the image of God and as beloved children of God, all are worthy of God’s love and

grace. We welcome the full inclusion of all people in the life and ministries of Brecksville

United Methodist Church as we journey toward reconciliation through Christ.

FOREVER REIGN You are good, You are good When there's nothing good in me You are love, You are love—On display for all to see You are light, You are light When the darkness closes in You are hope, You are hope You have covered all my sin You are peace, You are peace—When my fear is crippling You are true, You are true—Even in my wandering You are joy, You are joy—You're the reason that I sing You are life, You are life—In You death has lost its sting Oh, I'm running to Your arms I'm running to Your arms The riches of Your love Will always be enough Nothing compares to Your embrace Light of the world forever reign You are more, You are more—Than my words will ever say You are Lord, You are Lord—All creation will proclaim You are here, You are here— In Your presence I'm made whole You are God, You are God—Of all else I'm letting go Repeat refrain 2x

OPEN MY EYES, THAT I MAY SEE UMH 454

Open my eyes, that I may see

Glimpses of truth though hast for me:

place in my hands the wonderful key

that shall unclasp and set me free.

Silently now I wait for thee

Ready, my God, thy will to see

Open my eyes, illumine me,

Spirit divine!

Open my ears, that I may hear

Voices of truth thou sendest clear;

And while the wave-notes fall on my ear,

Everything false will disappear.

Silently now I wait for thee

Ready, my God, thy will to see

Open my ears, illumine me,

Spirit divine!

Open my mouth, and let me bear

Gladly the warm truth everywhere;

Open my heart and let me prepare

Love with thy children thus to share.

Silently now I wait for thee

Ready, my God, thy will to see

Open my heart, illumine me,

Spirit divine!

“My mom has been very ill and has been in the hospital since

Thanksgiving. Your support, love and willingness to go the

extra mile for someone you don’t even know means so much

to me and my family! Thank you from the bottom of my

heart for ensuring we had Christmas this year!” - a partner

family from 2019

The Emergency Assistance Center (TEAC) helps provide a joyful

holiday experience for 300 children of Northeast Ohio

neighbors in need. They are a community-funded non-profit

organization and rely exclusively on the donations of local

churches, community groups, and neighbors who are willing to

answer the call for help.

The Christmas Lane project is collecting $10 gift cards to

Target, Amazon, Five Below, Walmart, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A,

Subway and McDonald as Christmas gifts for the children of

the families they serve.

Collection of gift cards and monetary donations will run

through November 24 and the gifts will be distributed starting

December 1 during each family’s monthly food appointment.

The Emergency Assistance Center is located at 9199 Olde 8 Rd,

Northfield, OH 44067.

The Art of Christmas Sundays from 10:30-11:30 am

So many Christian artists have taken the story of Jesus'

birth and created beautiful works of art. Join our

and unfold the story as it is told in the gospels of

Matthew and Luke. This class will be interactive and

held on Zoom. Registration is requested so we can get

information to you, but not required- all are welcome.
