Isn’t it amazing that such a large business like the NFL participates in something as important to many as Breast Cancer Awareness Month? I just find it heartwarming that the NFL takes time to recog- nize something as deadly and dangerous as breast cancer. Just last year there was 232,570 new cases of inva- sive breast cancer. This dis- ease cost the lives of 40,000 wonderful women just last year (cancer.org). The NFL isn’t alone in its support for national Breast Cancer Awareness, we at Credo 1 Solutions have a special relationship with the Leuke- mia and Lymphoma society and pledge our support to breast cancer as well. Last month we men- tioned our support for the Tiger Lily Foundation and its Pink Boa 5K run in Sep- tember. This month we will be sponsoring their yearly ball. The Em- POWER Ball is Tigerlily’s sixth annual ball. The goal of the EmPOWER Ball is to educate, advocate, em- power and support young women –before, during and after breast cancer. The ball will honor a few award winners who have advocated the ideals of the Tigerlily Foundation. The EmPOWER Ball will be taking place Saturday Nov. 8th at the Reston Hyatt in VA.
