PROBLEM DEFINATIONThe call for decades most important awareness program among the

women of the world scans the system for a reliable , easy, and most appropriate design of breast cancer detection.

Till date we have microwave imaging system, radar technologies, biopsy, mammography and different other ways of detection of the technology. The most crucial part of the system includes a painful process and ask out design with skin contact or non ingestible and that operates at low frequency.

The proposed system is a flexible micro strip antenna skin implanted that works around 2.2GHz to 2.45GHz with a |s11| in and around -30dB. The design focus on the low heating of skin, avoiding arrays of antenna and giving maximum gain. The design is implanted on F4F substrate and will eradicate the different problems of antennas used for breast cancer detection or imaging.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANTENNA IN MEDICAL APPLICATION

Various types of medical applications of antennas have widely been investigated. Since these antennas are used in and around a human body, the size of the antennas must be small. Particularly, in order to realize minimally invasive treatment, small-size antennas are desired.

ANTENNA’s WITH RESPECT TO DIFFERENT

APPLICATION

Firstly, some examples ofthe antennas for "diagnosis" and "information transmission“

During the MR (magnetic resonance) imaging, these kind of antennas radiate EM (electromagnetic) pulses to the human body and in response receive the NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) signals emitted from the nuclei, which constitutes the human body

the structure of the coaxial-slot antenna operating at 2.45 GHz. The antenna is composed of a thin semi-rigid coaxial cable. In order to realize minimally invasive treatment, the diameter ofthe antenna must be small enough.

BREAST CANCER Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Signs of breast

cancer may include a lump in the breast, a change in breast shape, dimpling of the skin, fluid coming from the nipple, or a red scaly patch of skin.

In those with distant spread of the disease, there may be bone pain, swollen lymph nodes, shortness of breath, or yellow skin.

NEED FOR THE CALL?

It is estimated that worldwide over 508 000 women died in 2011 due to breast cancer (Global Health Estimates, WHO 2013). Although breast cancer is thought to be a disease of the developed world, almost 50% of breast cancer cases and 58% of deaths occur in less developed countries

Breast cancer survival rates vary greatly worldwide, ranging from 80% or over in North America, Sweden and Japan to around 60% in middle-income countries and below 40% in low-income countries

SITUATION IN INDIA

25 years back, out of every 100 breast cancer patients, 2% were in 20 to 30 years age group, 7% were in 30 to 40 and so on. 69% of the patients were above 50 years of age. Presently, 4% are in 20 to 30 yrs age group, 16% are in 30 to 40, 28% are in 40 to 50 age group.

So, almost 48% patients are below 50. An increasing numbers of patients are in the 25 to 40 years of age, and this definitely is a very disturbing trend.

ANTENNA APPLICATIONAntenna arrays offer improved directivity

compared to a single-radiator antenna. The design of the individual patch

element, the arrangement and spacing of the array, and the layout of the feed network.

Microwave imaging for biomedical applications is particularly interesting, mainly due to the fact that available range of dielectric properties for different tissues can provide important functional information about their health

PROPOSALTo develop a single MICROSTRIP PATCH

ANTENNA.To detect the BREAST MALIGNANT CELL &

CALIBRATE ITS CELL STAGE ACCORDINGLY.

In this work, inset fed antenna structure as a rectangular microstrip patch antenna is used.

The proposed antenna is placed over the breast structure.

In this work, by investigating electromagnetic field values over the breast tissue with tumor and without tumor, evaluations are presented.
