Because of yesterday’s failures, some of us have lost the courage to try again, to start all over again. The experience of one failing aſter another has caused a grip of the fear of failure in many, ren- dering them morbid, snuffing out the lile ounce of energy leſt in them and, casng them into oblivion with just hopes of a tomorrow that could become. For others, the glory lights of yesterday have smothered their desire and passion for more and a greater experience and closer walk with God. Something worth nong is this: both the failings and success- es of yesterday have one thing in common – they are in the ‘yesterday,’ that’s where they belong. Paul, a man who God used in a great way that many of us would desire, was keenly aware of this fact; and by this point, he had experienced both failure and success. Paul knew what a life lived in the shackles of sin was like. He is introduced in the book of Acts as one who persecuted the Saints, the people of ‘The Way,’ – a past that would only take God’s grace to shake off. Paul’s walk with God was and is admirable – the deep insights of Who God is and His dealing with man that have filled almost half the New Testament, the miraculous healings, the demonstraon of God’s power, etc., only a deep awareness of God’s grace kept him humble and desiring more of Him. From the words of Paul, we learn that ‘Breakthrough Faith’: 1. LEAVES the YESTERDAY behind, no maer how difficult or rosy it may have been, LEAVING self-imposed limitaons behind, ‘cause that’s where they belong! 2. LIVES in the TODAY, the here and now, taking every moment responsibly with God-guided tenacity as opportunies for breaking-through into the next level of greatness. It is acve and not passive! 3. LOOKS to Jesus Christ unwaveringly and unswervingly as the Author & Perfecter of our faith, the Holder & Guide of our TOMORROW! We shall only breakthrough our limitaons when we choose to live life NOT riveted on our yesterday, but fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ, Who is the same yesterday, today and forever! ARISE & SHINE! Past failures and achieved success can serve as inhibitors or catalysts to the next level of growth and breakthrough, depending on our focus and perception. Because of yesterday’s failures, some of us have lost the courage to try again, to start all over again. The experience of one failing after another has caused a grip of the fear of failure in many, ren-dering them morbid, snuffing out the little ounce of energy left in them and, casting them into oblivion with just hopes of a tomorrow that could become. For others, the glory lights of yesterday have smothered their desire and passion for more and a greater experience and closer walk with God. Something worth noting is this: both the failings and success-es of yesterday have one thing in common – they are in the ‘yesterday,’ that’s where they belong. Paul’s walk with God was and is admirable – the deep insights of Who God is and His dealing with man that have filled almost half the New Testament, the miraculous healings, the demonstration of God’s power, etc., only a deep awareness of God’s grace kept him humble and desiring more of Him. From the words of Paul, we learn that ‘Breakthrough Faith’:

1. LEAVES the YESTERDAY behind, no matter how difficult or rosy it may have been, LEAVING self-imposed limitations behind, ‘cause that’s where they belong!2. LIVES in the TODAY, the here and now, taking every moment responsibly with God-guided tenacity as opportunities for breaking-through into the next level of greatness. It is active and not passive!3. LOOKS to Jesus Christ unwaveringly and unswervingly as the Author & Perfecter of our faith, the Holder & Guide of our TOMORROW!

We shall only breakthrough our limitations when we choose to live life NOT riveted on our yesterday, but fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ, Who is the same yesterday, today and forever!
