Touring the schools• After touring each school, write down what

you like about the school, what are the similarities and what makes it different from your own school– SPŠ Svidník – LV Bertarelli– Lycée Victor Hugo

• When you have visited each school– Which school would you like to attend? – You must give reasons for your answers.

Page 6: Breaking the Barriers

The Pupils• All these schools are different. They

start at different times and specialise in different subjects. Some are in new building and others not so new.

• But what about the students? Are we all so really different?

Page 7: Breaking the Barriers

The podcasts• We asked groups of students in each of the

schools to talk about the influences on their lives. Listen to a selection from each of the schools by clicking here.

• (Hillside 2, Svidnik 2, Bertarelli Milano 2, Lycée Victor Hugo 1 are good examples.)

• In each case– Note down the main influences that you can hear

described.– Are there any influences which you think are

unusual?– What are the themes which continually appear in

the podcasts?

Page 8: Breaking the Barriers

Our schools may appear to be different, but are we?

• We asked pupils in each school to fill in an online questionnaire.

• We asked them about their lives, what they ate, how they spent their time and how they felt.

• Go to the next slide for a selection of results
