From the Editor
Salutations, Meadowland!
It is I, your beloved editor of the
2013 Meadowland newspaper. Being
an editor has its hardships, but it
can also be very beneficial to devel-
oping skills needed for the future.
It improves leadership abilities and
helps you become more independent.
The best thing about being an editor
is knowing that you have unlimited
power over the newspaper staff and
can make them write anything or
interview anyone. That all depends
on what kind of staff you have. If
you have a lazy and lifeless staff, it
is not probable that you will have a
very advantageous newspaper. Hope-
fully, the newspaper will continue to
be exquisite and unique throughout
the coming years.

We’re all going to say goodbye to the 5th graders at the
end of the year. They’ll be going to middle school next year and
become more independent, responsible and work harder. The
4th graders will be in their spot next year!
The 5th graders are going to miss Meadowland Elemen-
tary a lot! Let’s wish them good luck in middle school!!!
We hope you have enjoyed reading the newspaper as much as we have enjoyed making it for you!
Rainbow, Rainbow, what do you see?
I see Blue Sky looking at me.
Blue Sky, Blue Sky, what do you see?
I see Yellow Sun looking at me.
Yellow Sun, Yellow Sun, what do you see?
I see Green Grass looking at me.
Green Grass, Green Grass, what do you see?
I see Brown Bark looking at me.
Brown Bark, Brown Bark, what do you see?
I see Black Night looking at me.
Black Night, Black Night, what do you see?
I see White Moon looking at me.
White Moon, White Moon, …
