T Changing the recruitment lens Finding untapped talent 7 September, Standard Chartered, 7.45 - 10.00am
Chaired by Julie Hutchinson, East London Business Alliance (ELBA) London WorksFrom a 2017 report by PwC, financial services (FS) CEOs see significant changes in skills and types of people they need, and 72% see the limited availability as a threat to growth. Businesses need to turn their recruitment processes on their heads. Current practice is blocking and excluding a huge talent pool because they don’t fit the norm, are different, or may not have the qualifications. 60% of FS CEOs are rethinking their HR function but only 48% use HR analytics to find, develop, and retain their talent. The impact of the talent shortfall across the UK is huge and action is urgently required to reach out and attract a wider talent pool.
