This Inter-Area event will run under the British Riding Clubs Rules as set out inthe BRC Handbook 2019, as altered by the London & South East Novice Championships Representatives Committee at its annual meeting. All rules will be strictly adhered to. Making an entry constitutes acceptance of these rules and conditions.

The 2019 L&SE Rules are set out in full in a separate document which has been sent to each Area and which can also be seen at: www.londonandsoutheastchampionships.uk A reference copy will be available at the secretary’s office on the day of the championships.

times have been issued can be notified to liz.odonnell42@btinternet.com until 10 a.m. on Friday 5 October. Any change after that must be put in writing and handed to the Secretary on the day. Any change must be submitted no later than 30 MINUTES before the start of the relevant class.

Cancellation: If cancelled a percentage of the entry fees will be kept to cover administrative and cancellation costs.

Rosettes to the first eight teams in each competition.

Perpetual trophy to the winning team in each discipline.

Rosettes to the first six individuals in each arena (Dressage, Riding Test and Horse Trials). Perpetual trophy to the winner and rosettes to the first six individuals in the show jumping.

Perpetual trophy for the best-turned out team and rosettes to the top three best-turned out

Show Jumping teams.

The Natasha Trophy (kindly donated by Victor Attwooll) will be presented to the club with the

best overall performance on the day.

PRIZE GIVING Prize giving for each competition will take place 30 minutes after the results have been published. Prize winners will be expected to attend prize-giving on foot but smartly dressed, i.e. incorrect dress for that discipline although competitors may wear team colours rather than jackets.

HELPERS: Horse Trials: two nominated helpers per team are required.

Show Jumping: one nominated helper per team is required.

Dressage & Riding Test teams*: one nominated helper per team is required.

Team managers are responsible for completing the helpers form (see LSE website) with

names and contact details for each helper. *However where a club from Area 10, 11 or 13 is entering just one team at these championships and

that team is competing in either dressage or riding test, there is no need to provide a helper.

EQUINE PASSPORTS/VACCINATIONS: Horses competing at the L&SE Championships should be vaccinated in accordance with

BRC rules but vaccination checks will not be undertaken on this occasion. Snowball Farm EC is a British Eventing venue. Please check whether BE's six month vaccination policy is current at time of competition.Please note that the horse’s passport must always accompany the horse when it is

transported including to any competition as per The Horse Passports Regulations 2009.

Competitors are therefore advised to ensure they bring their horse’s passport with them

to these championships.

HEADGEAR:

Protective headwear (as defined in the BRC Handbook 2019 ) must be worn at all times

when mounted whether competing or not at a London & South East competition and must

show a visible AQUA Coloured Tag – BRC, BE or PC.

If your hat needs tagging please bring it to the secretary’s marquee for checking/tagging

when collecting your number.

Competitors are responsible for ensuring their hat meets the required standard.

HORSE TRIALS COMPETITORS: A XC number bib will not be issued to each competitor and therefore competitors do need to bring their own.

Medical arm bands must be worn for the cross country section of the horse trials.

NUMBERS FOR DRESSAGE, RIDING TEST & SHOW JUMPING: Card numbers will be issued (separate numbers if doing more than one discipline) – these must be used as it is difficult for stewards to see bridle numbers in a large open area.
