The International Polar Year 2007-2008 is a world forum which intends discussing and intensifying the cutting edge researches developed in North and South poles, gathering explorers from many countries to study the relation between those inhospitable cold places and the rest of the planet, how they interact with each other, and how they influence the oceans, atmospheres and terrestrial mass.

Such meaning and beauty are now portrayed by Brazilian Posts on stamps depicting red, yellow and white roses, exhibiting a Brazilian version of such charming flower.
The souvenir sheet portrays, on each stamp, three rose bulbs at different blooming stages, exhibiting the yellow High & Magic, the red Caballero and the white Avalanche+ roses, respectively. Creating the image of the souvenir sheet, the roses combine to form a nosegay. On the background, the leaves in dark-green embellish the beauty of the image.
