Visiting Researcher:
• collaboration with emerging or consolidated research groups;
• reinforces research fields or technological development;
• up to 24 months in Brazil.
Special Visiting Researcher (PVE):
• fosters exchanges and international cooperation with a view to strengthening
researches in priority themes by means of establishing partnerships with
international leaderships;
• provide a set of benefits to the researcher who is internationally
recognized for his/her level of excellence;
• allows the researcher to remain in Brazil up to one month per year for an
overall period of 3 years.
Fellowship Opportunities for Europeans in
Brazil
Young Talents (BJT):
• Young Post-Docs working abroad who have excelled in their scientific
or technological career;
• receive funding and resources to perform a 1 to 3 year-long research
project in Brazil;
• the host research group also receive funds, as a bench fee.

�ERANet-LAC: envisages the cooperation among EU-LAC
funding agencies and analogous institutions. The 2nd
Joint Call for Proposals will be launched on December
1st.
�Main expected result is a common online platform for
EU-LAC funding agencies, in which these institutions
will be able to find cooperation opportunities and
support for it. Project’s activities span from November,
2013 to March 2017.
FP7 PROJECTS – EUROPEAN COMMISSION
Under the INCO-NET, International cooperation EU scheme:
�ALCUE-NET main proposition is to support the development of
the cooperation between EU and LAC in the four priority areas
established by the Joint Initiative for Research and Innovation
(JIRI): energy, bioeconomy, biodiversity and ICTs. Project’s
activities span from April, 2013 to May, 2017.
�B.Bice+: envisages the promotion and support for Brazil-EU
cooperation through the enhancement of dialogue opportunities
and coordination of existing actions. Project’s activities span from
October, 2012 to January, 2016 .
