Brazil’s Government • Brazil is a Democratic Federative Republic government.• Brazil is a limited government.• Brazil’s power is distributed in the state of Sao Paulo and

is distributed equally among the government officals.• Brazil’s government is very similar to the United States… -We have a House of Representatives called

"Camara dos Deputados Federais", we have a Senate called "Senado Federal", which constitutes the Legislative branch and the Judicial branch called "Supremo Tribunal Federal", pretty much like the United States Supreme Court.

-collects own taxes, have own governors (elected directly by citizens)

• One federal region(includes Brasília)

-collects taxes also, gives some to each state

• Regions-North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast,

South Region

• Municipalities- governed by a mayor
