introduction

Quality Couplings Ltd was established in 1966 to satisfy a broad spectrum of customer’srequirements for brass compression fittings and accessories.

Using a combination of the latest CNC sliding head auto lathe machines, rotary transferunits and finishers, we are able to manufacture an extensive range of standard and specialfittings, in relatively small quantities and at highly competitive prices. Where required,components can have special finishes such as chrome or nickel plating.

A stockholding of up to £1M of finished components enables us to service customerrequirements promptly, normally on a next working day delivery basis.

Citizen C Series CNC sliding head auto lathes type C16-VII and C32-VIII. These machines feature main andsub spindles with two-gang tool slides enabling simultaneous machining with three tools. The C32-VIII has an8,000 rpm main and 7,000 rpm sub spindle with 14 tools and eight driven tools powered by 1kW motors.The C16-VII has 18 tools plus eight driven by 1kW motors.

Safe pressures depend entirely on the tubes being used. As an example, nylon tube willalways burst away from the coupling.

These types of coupling are best suited to half hard copper tubing, but are also suitable foruse on soft or hard copper tubing. They will withstand pressures greater than those inBS2051 Parts 1 and 2. As a guide, however, experience has shown them safe when usedon liquids as given:
