Brasco designs original shelters & streetscape furniture around people and their lifestyles. Whether the setting is urban or rural, a design must always compliment its environment and enhance its culture. We encourage complete streets design that bring communities together and sustain work & life around local resources. Brasco has been involved in numerous urban renewal projects including mass transportation infrastructure, small business development, and main street revitalizations.

Brasco has been a Michigan based manufacturer since 1983 and serves transit & government agencies, universities, hospitals, architects, designers and retailers. Our product line consists of bus stop & advertising shelters, bike shelters, covered walkways, wayfinding amenities, retail merchandising units, shopping cart corrals, site furnishings, and custom structures. We are an environmentally conscious manufacturer and use recyclable aluminum and HDPE materials as well as no volatile organic compound (VOC) powder coat finishes.

Our engineering team, Studio B Designs, leads the industry in precision design and exact engineering. Smarter engineering enables Brasco to offer products with superior aesthetics at the best value on the market. We manufacture with best-in-industry equipment and ensure total quality control by having all sales, engineering, operations, and project management under one roof. We’re based out of the greater metro Detroit area and ship internationally. The simple and clean BayLine adds a modern appeal to any streetscape. It features an architecturally defined 'B' fascia

profile with integrated gutter system. The BayLine is constructed from aluminum, tempered glass and stainless

Boasting an Art Deco Flair,

The Interlude series features a cantilevered roof with “I” beam and turnbuckle detail. Its

design is optimal for hot and windy climates—engineered for 175 MPH hurricane rated

wind speeds and up to 7' canopy roof for shade. The Interlude can be 1, 2, or 3 sided and

offers glass or perforated aluminum wall infills.

Amenities include matching bike rack, leaning rail, waste receptacle and benches.

Trident Detroit This custom bus stop shelter features square 4" columns, all glass wall

panels and suspended glass roof. Add-ons include the advertising / map

box on the rear wall and front hanging aluminum sign with bus stop

location. Roof materials may include glass (as shown here ) or custom

acrylic designs or polycarbonate (depending on snow load

requirements).

Brasco showcased the Trident at the 2014 APTA show in Houston.

Following the show, Brasco added a solar panel for lighting and donated

the shelter to the city of Detroit.

The crisp edged SunLine is available in aluminum or steel construction with square columns and a cantilevered roof. This

shelter series is ideal for high vandalism areas with its perforated aluminum walls (optional) and tamper proof solar powered lighting kit. Optional advertising box serves as a complete

Retrofits

Roof Retrofit Solutions offer an economical alternative to replacing complete streetscape shelters. Brasco partnered with King County in Washington state to develop a custom barrel roof to withstand the extreme weather conditions that compromised the existing 25 year old roofs.

The Axle The Axle is the latest addition to Brasco’s bike shelter line. It offers a small footprint of 6” square aluminum columns, and a 9.5’ wide polycarbonate canopy roof for optimal coverage. It’s engineered to withstand 120 MPH winds and boasts a minimum 20 PSF snow load capacity. The Axle offers a simplified installation process of just 3 main components.

The Axle is made from environmentally friendly no-rust aluminum and finished in a zero VOC powder coat. Shown in Signal Red powder coat. See Brasco Powder Coat Options for color choices.

Stoney Brook University of New York recently installed Axle Shelters throughout its campus and gained valuable LEED credits for covered bike parking.

The Aero The Aero offers a no-rust aluminum frame with narrow footprint and 9.5’

wide multiwall polycarbonate roof system. It offers a modular design and

simplified installation assembly.

The Aero is finished in an environmentally friendly zero VOC powder

This design offers covered hanging parking, ideal for tight spaces and compact environments. As a partner in the City’s Jackson Street

Improvement Project, TriMet wanted to install

new state-of-the-art bus shelters complete

with arrival displays, leaning rails, benches,

integrated windscreen design, and LED

lighting. Brasco custom designed the

shelters made from aluminum.

Design Build COTA Shelters Columbus, OH

The Central Ohio Transit Authority partnered

with the Columbus College of Art & Design

(CCAD) for a design competition for the new

design of the Downtown Business District Bus

Shelters. The winning design was unique and

considered the urban environment with a

curved roof to celebrate the Scioto River.

Brasco was selected to take the design

from concept to reality. The Studio B team

created new extrusion dies and metal forming

techniques to achieve a final shelters based

on the original design concept.

RMUs are great alternatives to traditional storefront businesses in high traffic retail areas. They can serve as satellite stores to larger businesses or main locales for new and small businesses. Ideal RMU locations include street vendor malls, inside shopping centers, airports, farmers markets, and other high foot traffic locations.
