P.'s In Baltimore Vote BALTIMORE, May 6 (JFV— Baltimore Democrats, who won! the city elections earlier this j month, spent more money than Republicans and used a higher percentages of their funds to pay the expenses of practical pre- cinct work. Studies of expense reports showed today that the Democrats who rode into office with Mayor D’Alesandro spent a total of \ $109,808.32. of which about half,| or $53,670 was used for election- day expenses. | An estimate of Republican ex- j penses indicates $67,419.45 was 1 spent with proportionately more i j going for advertising. The total for Republican adver- tising appeared from estimates to have been in the neighborhood of $34,000, or nearly half of what was spent. Only $12,950 of Re- publican money went for “run- ners, watchers” and other pre- ; cinct workers on election day. The Republican outlay for sbeh purposes was only about a fifth of the total they spent compared to nearly half the total spent as reported by the Democrats. B-15
