First Time!

I want to tell everyone to take a seat, as I stand here and tell you about the good old times

It was the summer of ‘02

I remember when I first saw you

My first pair of name brand shoes Nike Air Jordan’s

All white with red striped lining and that black check sign

Had you laced up, faster than my jeans buttoned up

Wore you all day and cleaned you all night

Made me feel like I was on cloud nine

Made me walk with that extra spring in my step and that boost of confidence, making me feel like Mr. Unbreakable

Even though I couldn’t shoot a ball or dribble, you still pushed my ego and made me stronger

Wasn’t till winter of ‘03 that I discovered how much you truly meant to me

Went from holes on one foot, to no logo on the other

It was time to say goodbye and so badly I wanted to frame you

Spent the next three months saving cash and there you were, older and wiser, staring back at me

Finally we were reunited Nike Air Jordan da II aka "Italian Stallion"

As my feet melt into your comfy décor, bad memories of the past were no more
