    Tuesday Task 1: Orion and The Dark Letter Planning

    1. Throughout the rest of the week we will be planning and writing a letter from The Dark to

    Orion, persuading him not to be scared.

    2. First, we need to plan what we will include in our letter. We need to explain to Orion WHY

    the dark is important/amazing and give him advice on HOW to stop being afraid.

    3. In the boxes below, write or draw as many ideas as you have for each subheading. I have

    included some pictures to help you with some ideas but I’m sure you will come up with lots

    more even better ones! **Parents/Guardians there are some ideas in the answer booklet to

    help you support your child if needed**

    Friday Task 3: Light Sources and Protecting our Eyes

    2. Look at the pictures in section 1. If you think they are a light source put a tick next to them. If

    you think they are not a light source, put a cross.

    3. Light sources are really important- they help us to see but some can be dangerous if we are

    not careful- especially the sun!

    4. Create a poster that teaches people about different light sources with a focus on how to

    protect their eyes from our main light source- the sun. Look at section 2 to see what I expect

    your poster to include. The videos above and this website may help you
