PROBLEM S

Problems that can
arise during the braking,
as strong vibrations and
noises are caused by
common
DEFORMATIONS as:
deformation for
overheating,
irregular wear or excess
of scoring and
roughness.

The clamping on the braking calliper seat of the turning equipment produces two separate bodies sensitive to the bearings backlash; it comes up that it is impossible to correct eventual misalignments. Further the DISJOINT AXIAL DRIVE MOVEMENT causes vibrations between disc and tools.
The CLAMPING OF THE LA -THE DIRECTLY ON THE HUB , CAORLE TM solution, produces only one system with the disc, making the rotation close and free from bearings backlash. So it is possible to measure “ C ” and correct, by means of the adjustment screws “ R ”, possible “runout” between disc and tools.

ADVANTAGES
10
The coupling of new pads
to worn/scored discs
causes higher braking
clearances in relation
with the standard ones,
of also the 20% more.
The lathes
for the brake discs
turning allow to
re-establish the perfect
flatness between the disc
faces and the correct
roughness of the
surfaces in touch,
guarantying an optimum
efficiency in the braking.

ON PASSENGER CARS AND OFF-ROAD VEHICLES BRAKE DISC LATHE
DESCRIPTION
The TP32 has been conceived to
turn brake discs on passenger cars
and o-roads vehicles without taking
o the brake disc from the wheel hub.
The execution of the turning
operation on the disc rotation site
removes any possible manufacturing
imperfection, assembling mistake
or machining inaccuracy when the
operation is carried out by means
of a traditional lathe, re-establishing
the perfect surface and geometric
matching between pads and brake
disc, obtaining in this way
the full braking efficiency from the
beginnig.
THE INTERMITTENT FEEDING
It avoids the formation of the classical spiral eect on the surface which is the main responsible of the brake pad radial shifting and the consequent braking problems.

DESCRIPTION
The lathe T D35 allows to execute the turning of brake discs and drums of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, it further allows the turning and grinding of flywheels, also the tapered ones, of the above vehicles.
The body of the machine is compo -sed of a rigid and strong structure in cast iron, the dia. 30 mm chuck shaft is in hardened and grinded steel. The tool-holder carriage, ma -nufactured in cast iron, is moved on grinded prismatic guides.
THE INTERMITTENT FEEDING
The tool-holder group is moved by means of an intermittent feeding system that engraves concentric circles on the disc surface (see picture). We therefore avoid the formation of the classical spiral eect on the surface which is the main responsible of the brake pad radial shifting and the consequent braking problems.
The same principle is also used for the drum machining avoiding in this way the braking shoes axial shifting.

DESCRIPTION
The model RC40 has been conceived to properly grind the brake shoe diameter, with regards to the internal diameter of the drum, of the dierent types of cars and light commercial vehicles brake shoes, in order to obtain the perfect matching between shoe and drum for the full braking efficiency from the beginning.
The machine is composed of a rigid and strong structure in cast iron.
GRINDING
Grinding is executed for only one shoe per time. The shoe to be machined is clamped on the working trolley and, after setting the previously taken internal diameter of the drum, it is placed by the abrasive rotating roller for grinding the whole surface.
