The Brake Noise Elimination System

1)Disassembleandclean:Afterremovingpads/linings, sand the friction surface with a light to medium grit paper to remove the glazeonusedparts.ThensprayKent’sOneShotPlus on the pad/lining surface to remove all contaminantsandletdryfor1-2minutes.

2)ApplyBrakeSilencer:Ondiscbrakepads,brushorsprayonamediumcoatofBrakeSilencer,allowtodryandapplyasecondmedium coat; on drum brake shoes apply only onemediumcoatofBrakeSilencer.

3)Lubebrakehardware:Whilesilencersdryin step 2, clean metal-to-metal contact points withOneShotPlusandlubricatewithbrush-topBrakePlateLubeorRusty2000.

4)Lubepistonseals/boots: Ifbootsandsealsarestillusable,cleanthemwithOneShotPlus,thenlubethemwithK-44SiliconeLubricatingCompound. Always replace deteriorated parts forsafety’ssake.

5)Reassemble:Assoonassurfacesarecompletely dry, reassemble and reinstall the brakes.

6)Roadtesttocheck:Toensureproperadjustmentandbrakeresponse,alwaysroadtest the vehicle per standard recommended procedures.
