When vessel is on DP or alongside platform, it may change from conventional propulsion to pure electrical propulsion for fuel saving in this mode.For reduced fuel consumption during transit, the vessel is designed with single screw. For optimum manoeuvrability in DP and when at platform the vessel is equipped with retractable thrusters in aft ship. Thrusters are equipped with bottom shaped plate below thruster unit to make the thruster fully flush with the bottom when retracted. (Same apply for forward azimuth). Main screw is in elec-trical mode powered by the 1500 kW PTI el-motor. Propulsion: 1 x CP propeller with fixed nozzle, Output 5850 kW Thrusters: 2 x 880 kW tunnel thrusters resiliently mounted, make Brunvoll 1 x 1200 kW retractable azimuth thruster forward 2 x 1200 kW retractable azimuth thrusters aft at approx. frame 49 1 x 590 kW tunnel thruster aft in skeg.
