Recipe cards

Theme: I like the idea of an Italian theme for vegetarian recipe cards because they are notorious for creating dishes that can be made with or without meat. This means there will be many choices of different recipes for my recipe cards. Even if youre not a vegetarian you can still enjoy the meat free dishes served up. This way it would be made easier for a vegetarian to host a dinner party and have theyre guests satisfied without having to serve meat. Another reason this would be good is if a vegetarian lives in a mixed house hold. Also the meals can be quick and easy to create but other can be more complex and take longer.

Audience: This theme would include a very wide amount of different type of people. It is not age specific, gender specific or any other specific class. It suits anyone. Even the more strict vegetarians (such as vegans) can enjoy quite a few Italian dishes like tomato risotto, low carb vegan cannelloni and more.

Design: On the front of the card I would place a full page picture of the final product to show the person making it what it should look like in the end, maybe to show as a serving suggestion. I would also put on the vegetarian society logo and the name of the recipe. On the back I would put another picture of the recipe, the name of the recipe, a list of ingredients and step by step written instructions of what to do. I would also put the vegetarian society logo on again.

Production method: The cards will be produced on a computer using software such as Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher. This will allow me to easily create a recipe card to the standards I want and to get it look like how I would like it to look.

Artwork: For the colour scheme I would use the colours of the Italian flag (red, white and green). I would do this because it would fit the theme since its an Italian theme. Also because green is a stereotypical vegetarian colour. The images I include would be of the final product, presented nicely on a plate. This would make the meal look more appetising and appealing so people would be willing to make it and try it. I could also photograph it as a meal for a serving suggestion.

Recipes: Aubergine rolls with spinach & ricotta. Cherry tomato, kale, ricotta & pesto pasta.Roasted chestnut & herb pesto pasta with mushrooms.Pesto & tomato pasta with crispy crumbs.Italian butter beans.Italian vegetable soup.Chunky minestrone soup .Mushroom and spinach risotto.Stuffed courgette flowers with olive dressing.

Recipe cards

Theme: I think it would be a good idea to do barbecue themed recipe cards because many vegetarians may get left out at barbecues or feel like they cant throw barbecue events because they dont eat meat. Doing these themed recipe cards should help sort the problem and reunite vegetarians and meat eaters once again.

Audience: This theme would include a very wide amount of different type of people. It is not age specific, gender specific or any other specific class. It suits anyone. Even the more strict vegetarians (such as vegans) can enjoy barbecued meals such as stuffed peppers, griddled aubergines with sesame dressing and more. Id say the audience is for people who enjoy summer and/or miss barbecuing if they havent been brought up as a vegetarian/vegan.

Production method: Production method: The cards will be produced on a computer using software such as Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher. This will allow me to easily create a recipe card to the standards I want and to get it look like how I would like it to look.

Artwork: For the colour scheme I would use light colours like yellows and blues. The images I include would be of the final product, presented nicely on a plate. This would make the meal look more appetising and appealing so people would be willing to make it and try it. I could also photograph it as a meal for a serving suggestion.

Recipe cards

Theme: It feels as if vegetarians are concentrated on the healthy side of the diet and forget that they can have puddings. There are quite a lot of vegetarian friendly recipes that are delicious. Many of the recipes are also ones that are enjoyed by meat eaters everyday. I think there is so many vegetarian friendly recipes because, obviously contains no meat so the only thing vegetarians have to look out for cheese desserts because of the rennet.

Audience: This theme would include a very wide amount of different type of people. It is not age specific, gender specific or any other specific class. It suits anyone. Even the more strict vegetarians (such as vegans) can enjoy desserts such as blueberry and coconut cake, vegan pumpkin pie and more.

Design: On the front of the card I would place a full page picture of the final product to show the person making it what it should look like in the end, maybe to show as a serving suggestion. I would also put on the vegetarian society logo and the name of the recipe. Artwork: For the colour scheme I would use browns, mucky pinks and white. I would do this because it seems to be a common colour scheme in dessert recipe cards. Also, they are seen as luxury colours and some desserts are seen as luxury. The images I include would be of the final product, presented nicely on a plate. This would make the meal look more appetising so people would be willing to make it and try it. I could also photograph it as a meal for a serving suggestion.
