Playing around with editing for digipak

Today, when playing around with Microsoft Word I discovered how to edit our pictures. In order to edit a particular picture I double clicked on the picture and clicked on ‘remove background’ in the adjust section at the top. This then enabled me to remove all of the green scenery in the background, therefore enabling me to use get our two actors. I wanted to try a crop an image for our digipak prior to our final one in order to understand the software more and to test out how certain images would/wouldn’t work.

This is the original picture that we took when filming. We felt that the colour contrast was elegant and went well as a result of the shot placement. This shot represents our artists as being friendly and portrays a positive image towards our target audience.

This is the same picture after I had removed the background. I now feel as if the picture is more effective and that it would make a more successful digipak picture as a result. Due to the fact that we have just focused in on our actors and not the scenery. Therefore, as a result we could now add in a different background in order to make this particular picture more successful as a result.

Below is what the image would look like on a digipak template.
