PDL grew to become one of the UK’s largest manufacturers and distributors of high integrity fasteners including studbolts and nuts.

In early 2010 PDL was acquired by Beck Industries, France, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of special bolts for the power generation and petrochemical industries. PDL changed name again to reflect the new era and became Beck Prosper Limited.

Beck Industries is a 4th generation family-owned group, operating 8 sites across France, Germany, Belgium, China and now the United Kingdom.

For coal, oil, hydro or nuclear power sta ons Beck Prosper manufactures and supplies a full range of fastener components including fully threaded studs, engineer, waisted and hot studs, socket cap screws, cap nuts, V notch nuts, hexagon nuts and washers: either from customer drawings or by “reverse” engineering Beck Prosper has a dedicated project team with a proven track record of supplying bol ng to global projects. Experienced in all aspects of project execu on, from a thorough understanding of commercial bid prepara on through to providing documenta on in project specific formats, our team ensure that your project requirements are adhered to.



Machining CapabilityBeck Prosper has its own equipped CNC machine shop as well as a range of thread rolling, milling, turning, and drilling machines. We also have full access to the use of Beck Industries fully equipped machine shops. We are con nuously looking to invest in new equipment to be able to manufacture to the ever-changing demands of our clients.Extensive stocks of both standard and exo c materials, coupled with our in-house coa ng, pla ng and heat treatment facili es ensure fast, reliable, and compe vely priced deliveries.In order to maintain our excep onal abili es in compe vely machining exo c alloys, we are commi ed to maintaining a modern and efficient machine shop. We have a range of CNC Lathes capable of turning diameters up to 20.00” (508mm) and component lengths of up to 64.5” (1640mm)

CNC MillingWe have a range of Milling machines capable of machining components up to 50.00” (1270mm) long by 25.6” (650mm) wide.

Thread RollingWe have a range of Thread rolling machines capacity from ½” (12.5mm) diameter to 7” (178mm) diameter.

Other PlantA full range of manual turning, milling, drilling, and grinding machines complement our CNC machining capacity.Our machine shop and other departments are all fully integrated with our mul -site computer network. This not only provides control of all Beck Prosper’s func ons, but provides specific facili es designed for each department. CNC Machining programmes are provided by the latest 3D CAM so ware.

Cleaning, degreasing, shot blas ng, electro-pla ng and coa ng can all be carried out. A heat treatment process is often called for during the manufacture of Beck Prosper products. A Wild Barfield heat treatment furnace gives us full control over material quality. This is particularly important in the conversion of B7/L7 to B7M/L7M after threading, in accordance with ASTM A193, A320 and NACE MRO 175.

Beck Prosper are also members of a number of international technical committees including ASTM and AWHEM.

In addition to Lloyds approval and registration to ISO 9001 Beck Prosper hold specific approvals as certified for manufactured products and traceability for sourced products in accordance with the PED 97/23/EC Annex I paragraph 4.3.
