This slide describes the structure of the SAP Best Practices:What are SAP Best Practices? SAP Best Practices consist of two components: documentation and pre-configuration:On one side you will receive documentation what you need to set up a system (installation guide, configuration guide). The installation guides describe usually the implementation steps with technical objects and the configuration guide is the manual description for the settings. Then you have the scenario documentation (Scenario Overview and Business Process Procedures) what you can use for understanding the process what you want to implement. Also you will receive the Business Process Procedures what can give you a help playing through the systems once it is set up. You can use it as a kind of end user training material. On the other side SAP Best Practices is providing pre-configuration settings encapsulated into BC Sets and CATTs and eCATTs or LSMW (another tool for the implementation of master data) bringing in sample master data. Technical deliverables are also parameter transactions, calling the technical objects, programs and installation roles.

The deliverables are on two CDs, one for the technical objects and the other one for documentation. SAP Best Practices is delivered as a free-of-charge product which complements mySAP Business Suite. The preconfiguration and extensive documentation delivered with Best Practices for mySAP All-in-One help you to save time and money. Moreover, you face less risks during your evaluation and implementation project, because you can make use of the tried and trusted methodology and the proven settings. That is the reason why failure is not an option when you use Best Practices in your project: Everything has been tested and it works. You can start straight off with a fully documented protoype that is the firm foundation for your implementation project.h
