How to perform a Bulk Card Update on BP Plus Online

It is recommended that you view the ‘How to Order a card’ and ‘How to Edit a card’ videos or PDFs - available on bpplus.com.au - prior to using this document.

The process for performing a bulk card update is split into two screens:

1. Filter and Download

2. Upload Update File

The steps to take are outlined below.

Screen 1: Filter and Download

Step 1a: Perform a bulk card search

+ To begin your bulk card update, click on Bulk Card Update under the Cards menu in the main navigation.

+ Search for the cards you want to update using the Bulk Card Search function.

+ Enter a keyword (full or partial with a minimum of four characters) to be matched against either Card number, Driver name or Vehicle registration.

+ Alternatively, you can use the Advanced Search Options panel which offers additional search parameters to refine the search criteria.

Step 1b: View the cards (Optional)

+ A list of cards relative to your search criteria will be created.

+ To view these results click on View first 5 pages of Results which will display up to the first five pages of cards on your screen.

+ Review this card list to make sure you have the cards you want before downloading.

Step 1c: Download to Excel

+ Use the Download to Excel button to download the selected card list into an Excel spreadsheet.

+ Downloading in this manner ensures that you now have a template with the correct fields for updating and re-uploading changes.

Step 1d: Amend the information

+ Make any amendments to the card information in your Excel spreadsheet and save it.

+ Please note that columns must not be changed or removed as the system will no longer accept the spreadsheet for upload.

+ Use the Upload button to locate the correct Excel file on your computer to upload

+ Once uploaded, a confirmation will display, advising that your bulk card update has been successfully uploaded.

Did you know?

If you have a pre-prepared spreadsheet and are coming back later to upload it. You can go directly to this step from the Filter and Download screen using the Upload Excel File button located beside ‘Already have a file prepared?’.

+ When chosen, your file name will appear in the box below. If it is correct, click Upload Excel File to upload it.

Note:

At the moment BP Plus Online can only accept Excel 2003 files, which have a .XLS file extension. If your file has a .XLSX extension (Excel 2007 or Excel 2010) please choose the Save As... Excel 2003 save option in Excel before uploading your file..
