Our students and staff are really looking forward to showing you their acts. In the coming weeks we have a number of fundraisers that we are organising. The first is the Great Gatsby evening to be held on Satur- day 31st August in the Function room of the Bowning Hotel. Tickets are now on sale for $50 and I urge you to purchase them soon! Tickets can be purchased at our school of- fice or at the Bowning Hotel. There are plenty of prizes to be won and dressing up is all part of the fun. We are working hard to secure en- rolments for 2020. If you know of anyone with children who may be interested in attending our beautiful small school, please encourage them to contact our office or drop in for a visit. Monday 19th—Keep Australia Beautiful presentation Tuesday 20th— Enviromentors incursion Saturday 31st August days are set to commence on Thurs- day 31st October which is week 3, term 4. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to join us at the school Open Day. We had a delicious lunch cooked by the staff and the students loved showing you the learning that they have complet- ed throughout the year. Education Week Concert Tomorrow all our students are meeting at Yass High School from 9am to take part in the rehearsals for the concert. We will remain at the high school for the duration of the day. On the night, could all students please meet in our assigned room from 5:45pm (room number will be given to the students tomorrow). The Shadow Dance group are the first act, following the singing of the National Anthem. Students will need to bring something quiet to play/do while they are waiting to go on stage. As the hall waiting area is cold, could students please bring a small throw rug or dressing gown that they can easily wrap around their shoulders while waiting to go on stage. To make costume chang- es easy, students need to wear a singlet under their clothes. All cos- tumes will be returned to the teach- ers before leaving to go home. At the end of the concert, parents need to meet students in the classroom and let a teacher know that they are leaving. We are looking forward to a wonder- ful evening of performances. Reminders

Book Club

A reminder that Book Club is due to be returned by Monday 12th August.

Interest groups

Interest groups will resume at 2pm on Friday 16th August.

Pyjama Day Our students will be participating in Pyjama Day tomorrow and are asked to bring a gold coin donation in sup-port of people in need. Students are

allowed to wear their Pyjamas to Yass High school tomorrow but are reminded to wear their shoes for outside activi-ties. They can bring their slippers with them to wear in the hall.

Community Announcements Meat Raffles

Each Friday night the Bowning Hotel raffles off meat trays to raise money in support of community projects and Bowning Public School. Each person who buys a raffle ticket goes in the draw to pick the joker from the board. This week the Joker draw is up to $2300.

Join in the fun, have a delicious meal from the Bistro and try your

luck! Who knows, you could be the next big winner!

Celebrating Success
