BSED BOUNDARY SCAN ENHANCED DIAGNOSTICS
/// OVERVIEW
Boundary Scan Enhanced Diagnostics (BSED)
system can identify failed electronic components down
to the Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRA) while
the systems are on the aircraft, reducing costs and
maintenance time, while increasing aircraft availability.
BSED is a ruggedized portable handheld system that
uses JTAG boundary testing to extract diagnostic data
BSED Portable Backpack
BSED Portable Tablet
from complex electronic systems on-board the aircraft.
BSED quickly diagnoses and correctly identifies failures
to the circuit card or component level. It can be
modified for other interfaces and eliminates the
unnecessary removal and replacement of Weapons
Replaceable Assemblies.

/// FEATURES & BENEFITS
Feature Advantage Benefit
Scans physical hardware in real-time
Reduces unnecessary removals and replacements
Saves time and money
Improved fault isolation Uniquely identifies opens or shorts in specifics boards or backplane traces
Reduces troubleshooting time
Enhanced prognostics Provides historical trend analysis of BSED scanned systems
Helps predict failures across the life of the system
Portable Enables handheld usage Can be used anywhere
Ruggedized Compliant to MIL-STD-28800 Suitable for flight deck or hanger environments
Enhances traditional functional diagnostics
Provides improved fault detection and isolation
Eliminates the guesswork and costly “no-fault-found” results when examining failed systems in a maintenance workshop

INFLA IN-SITU FAILURE ANALYZER
/// OVERVIEW
In-Situ Failure Analyzer (INFLA) is a non-
destructive evaluation (NDE) tool for accurate failure
analysis of cracks found in aircraft structural
components. INFLA can be designed as a handheld
device or a standalone device on a tripod. The INFLA
system is based on shearography methods for
obtaining the interferogram of the test object and then
Technology that makes a difference®
obtaining the interferogram of the test object and then
processing the image to determine the failure mode.
INFLA is able to differentiate static loading, fatigue
and stress corrosion cracks and can work at
distances of 30-60cm. This reduces cost, time and
increases maintenance and productivity.

015 /// OPTICAL DETECTION PROCESS
/// FEATURES
Crack analysis by INFLA includes:
• Taking speckle image of an object w/o load
• Taking second image with loading (thermal, or
mechanical for bulky components which need
excessive power for heat loading)
• Subtraction images to reveal “deformation”
interferogram
• Image processing to identify cracks
Features Scanning Electron
Microscopy INFLA
Field portable No Yes – using compact commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components
In-situ No Yes – no need to cut out parts for inspection
Large scanning area No Yes – can be adapted to different sizes using lasers and CCD camera
High resolution Yes Yes – resolution of micron-equivalent to size of defects
Non-contact No Yes – shearography is non-contact method
Type of failure identification
Yes Yes – detect types of failure by analyzing fringes
RESLIFE RANGED EYE-SAFE LASER-INDUCED FLASHBANG
ENABLING SYSTEM
/// OVERVIEW
RESLIFE is a non-lethal, eye-safe laser used for
projecting non-lethal force at extended ranges. It can
be designed to mount on a small tactical vehicle and
to be powered by the vehicle’s existing electrical
supply. This system will provide the operator with a
near-instant engagement time and unlimited ammunition,
as compared to munition-based systems. Unlike current
non-lethal weapons, RESLIFE is capable of producing
flashbang-like effects (i.e., light, sound, over-pressure, and
thermal effects) at distances in excess of 100 m.
